All 52 passengers rescued from ship trapped in Antarctic ice [Were studying Climate Change Effects]

After 10 days stranded far from home, all 52 passengers from a ship stuck in Antarctic ice have now been transferred by helicopter to an Australian icebreaker.

"It's 100% we're off! A huge thanks to all," tweeted Chris Turney, an Australian professor among the group of scientists, journalists and tourists marooned on the ship.

A helicopter from a nearby Chinese icebreaker ferried passengers Thursday to the Australian icebreaker, the Aurora Australis.

The rescue is the latest chapter in a saga that began Christmas Eve after the Russian-flagged MV Akademik Shokalskiy got stuck in unusually thick ice.

Officials abandoned a succession of other rescue attempts in recent days because of the treacherous conditions in the region.

Australian authorities had said a plan involving the helicopter and a barge was put on hold because of shifting ice conditions.

But the new approach, which skipped the use of the barge, got under way later in the day. Turney posted videos showing the helicopter arriving on a makeshift helipad on the ice near the trapped ship and taking off into the crisp blue sky.

The crew was left behind so not all are safe yet.

The Man Made Global Warming flat earthers on that boat just got smacked up side the head with reality. You think it will wake them up out of their denial? Nope, too stupid.

They'll find a way to twist this into support for their cause.

Yes, I am aware the crew is still there, and I continue to worry about them too. I haven’t really gotten into the details of this, I suppose they feel they must stay with their ship? And of course supplies will last much longer with fewer people. I sincerely hope all will be OK.

Nope, too stupid.

The leaders of this scam aren't stupid. They're just dishonest.

There's billions to be made by perpetuating this bogus scam. Their fortunes are tied up inventing false claims. Stupid? Nope. Very smart. Their constituents, on the other hand..............

Anything anti-conservative is lapped up by the Mindless. They can't wait to contribute to anti-gun, pro-abortion, pro-faggot, et al, causes.

I was talking to my wife about this last night. I don't know anything about these liberal icons, but I do know guns.

If I started a blog, or website, or however that works, and started talking about the evils of guns. I could talk about dangers in reloading, availability of CMP firearms delivered to your door, etc. I could start begging for donations for lobbying. (The only lobbying I would do would be to maybe mail a couple letters a month to some already anti-gun senator.)

Your basic liberal sheep is so stupid and naive, I'd get rich. Liberal leaders are smart. Liberal followers are the stupid ones.

All’s well. According to a side note in today’s WSJ, these good citizens pledged to plant trees on other planets, sorry, continents, to offset their carbon footprints caused by this adventure.
