If the 'operator' had 'understood' then they police would be there more quickly? What the hell for? To make sure the perpetrator has a chance at life? To further protect the perpetrator from the evil, gun-bearing store owner?

This is just plain disgusting.

The operator clearly understood that it was a robbery, because she said so...

“And you’re being robbed”

There’s no excuse for not immediately responding to a call about a robbery in progress.
