ESPN's normally excellent "Sports Reporters" show joined the ranks of GLAAD, Organizing For America (OFA), Out2Enroll and others in yet another attempt by the cultural left to redefine what it means to be a man in this country in 2013. At least, this was the apparent goal of panelist Pablo Torre, who ended the show in his Parting Shot (all four panelist get a parting shot each week) with a soliloquy titled "Redefining Masculinity." It can be searched and found under that name in fact, and for what it's worth, you will notice that Torre could easily be a stand in for Ethan Krupp as Pajama Boy, but would not "blend" on the set of Duck Dynasty at all.

Well yes, but I would not say to the left of, but I would certainly say just as leftist as .in general. One of the few major major misreads of the tea leaves by Rush Limbaugh was his ignorance of this fact when he went to work for ESPN. That was 2003 I think .he's learned that lesson now, but it was probably the biggest single blind spot he's ever had on a major dynamic.
BTW. I think I know who is a closet conservative - who is a major Sportscenter anchor
you have a guess?
Well, I think they were winning this thing .to redefine it until Phil Robertson kicked A and E, and pajama boys ass, in the arena of ideas
But the point is this: they will continue to try ..
lotta Ivy League plus nothing else credentials getting big paying jobs, in govt, media, everywhere
That “poison ivy” - as in Ivy League, is destroying America. The last two Presdients have been from the Ivy League, and neither knew a damned thing about economics.
got it no harm no foul.
I don’t think ESPN over all is hated by most sports fans but I do think a lot of sports fans hate certain things about ESPN.
There is a lot of ESPN programming that is totally non political, but it’s getting less and less .as they try and push politics into everything almost.
Nothing .and he doesn’t deserve to be on the same panel with John Saunders and Bob Ryan.
I know who is the closet conservative, but I am not sure if he wouldn’t bend over for his job which he loves dearly. I suspect there are more than a few closet conservatives. They are the ones who avoid saying anything controversial. I like how Lou Holtz did a commercial outside of his job. He let his stance be known.
The last president who wasn’t from the Ivy League in some way was Ronald Reagan.
My suspicion is Neal Everett. He’s very smart and logical .tho I’ve never heard him say anything overt.
Who say you?
Yep, you right the last four Presidents .all Ivy, and not a single economic brain between the four of ‘em ..
Clinton govened more conservatively than any of them, thanks to Newt Contract w America congress ..
I won’t say because I don’t want him to lose his job. But he would be right at home with Phil, Si, Willie, etc. :)
The white libs will run up against the fact of non-white men being less than thrilled to be lectured by sissy boy white males. This has an expiration date.
Last time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it.
not to plug my own post, but I think the root of this idiots “what does it really mean to be a man?” fit’s nicely with this:

this poor guy (gay) or whatever is a product of our female centric society.
Absolutely correct, and it has been for some time now. Back when there was no internet and we lived in caves, I subscribed to The Sporting News. It was a great source of information, stats and box scores for the four major sports. I eagerly anticipated its arrival every Thursday. Until about 1989.... Starting around that time, all of the editorials changed to using sports as social activism for "racial justice" and "social justice" all sorts of other liberal causes. The subscription was not renewed. And that's all you see on the major sports media now.
Television is redefining their image of the metrosexual.
All others are cave men, racists, wife beaters, old school ...
ESPN = ABC. All part of the Disney empire.
After Olbermann and Lupica, I think a lot more are aware. I would estimate that 80-90% of all sports reporters are hardcore libs. And it might be getting worse.
cavemen hah ..think Pablo Torre versus Mike Ditka LOL
