Apparently it’s for some kind of breathing difficulty..sending my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery
Houston is our Detroit.
In as much as Texas has one.
Crazy place to go for treatment.
I'll pray for her later, if there's time.
She’s at Methodist Hospital, a fine, fine institution. Early signs of pneumonia.

Former first lady Barbara Bush was hospitalized today for early signs of pneumonia,
but the family said she was “in great spirits.”
“Former First Lady Barbara Bush was admitted to Methodist Hospital in Houston’s
Texas Medical Center yesterday for treatment on a respiratory related
issue,” family spokesman
Jim McGrath said. “She is in great spirits, has already received visits from her
husband and family, and is receiving fantastic care.”
She will receive the best care there is no doubt.
Why the non-sequitur?
Prayers up
she’s 88
hope she will be ok
Huh?
Tell that to cancer patients who come from everywhere to go to M.D. Anderson. Wise up.
If she is pro-choice; she needs to repent.
Please expand on that inane statement. Where better in Texas, than Houston - home of world class treatment centers, would you recommend? Houston has been good enough for G.H. Bush to receive treatment...not to mention countless other world residents.
Well, she was a REAL First Lady and I hope she makes it out of the hospital, intact.
If you’re serious, you’re stupid.
Same here.
She lives in Houston. Why would she leave town to get treatment, when some of the finest MD’s and facilities are right here?
From wikipedia: The Texas Medical Center is the largest medical center in the world with one of the highest densities of clinical facilities for patient care, basic science, and translational research.[1][2][3] Located in Greater Houston, the center contains 54 medicine-related institutions, including 21 hospitals and eight specialty institutions, eight academic and research institutions, three medical schools, six nursing schools, and schools of dentistry, public health, pharmacy, and other health-related practices.[4] [5] All 54 institutions are not-for-profit. The center exceeds one thousand acres (or 1.562 square mile) in size.[6][better source needed] Some member institutions are located outside of the city of Houston.[7][8] The Center is where one of the first and largest air ambulance services was created and where one of the first successful inter-institutional transplant programs was developed. More heart surgeries are performed in Texas Medical Center than anywhere else in the world.[9]
The Texas Medical Center receives 160,000 daily visitors and over seven million annual patient visits, including over 18,000 international patients. In 2011, the center employed over 106,000 people, including 20,000 physicians, scientists, researchers and other advanced degree professionals in the life sciences.[10]
Prayers up
Crazy place to go for treatment.
My niece is a Director at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, which is a great teaching hospital. Her specialty is pre-natal genetics, testing and counseling.
Also, Mr. EDD, it’s ludicrous to refer to Houston as the Detroit of Texas. Postings here at FR in the past week or so have indicated that Houston is a top ranked (if not #1) “major” city in growth in various categories.
Houston is a far cry from the dumps of Detoilet...
