I once asked my b-i-l, now deceased, who had spent 23 years in prison, about the political leanings of convicts.

He said, “generally speaking, that the younger convicts tended to be liberal, while the older ones tended to be conservative, a lot like on the outside”.

While mine was a crime of non compliance and I never went to prison, I see the same among all people. When I was younger and more likely to do stupid things, I had no interest whatsoever about politics.

We’ll see a dozen different stories of injustices done to individuals at the hands of the state today. A good many of those will be stripped of their right to vote with the happy approval of oh so wise FReepers.
