Damascus (AFP) - A December 31 deadline to remove part of the Syrian regime's chemical weapons arsenal from the country for destruction has been missed, with ships due to receive the materials returning to Cyprus....
A Norwegian frigate and a Danish warship had been near the Syrian coast waiting to dock at the port in Latakia to escort chemical materials to Italy, ahead of their destruction at sea on a US ship.
But the vessels returned to port in Cyprus on Monday night as it became clear that the removal mission would not go ahead as scheduled.

No problem, just extend the deadline. It’s worked before.

ObamaDontCare. Syria was just a VERY successful”wag the dog” operation to keep the 1 year anniversary of Benghazi off the front pages and out of water cooler talk.

It was a ridiculously aggressive target date. By all reports I've read,
the Syrians are cooperating. My bet is that AQ is deliberately hampering the effort, both to gain control of the weapons themselves and to occupy the Assad regime dealing with stupid western diplomats. So unless there is obvious evidence of stalling on the part of the Syrian regime, we should cut him some slack over the deadline.

Says Syria didn't make the deadline...what it really means is that the USA didn't live up to its end so he could blame it on Putin. Obama is such a fool.
Like Putin said to the USA....don't interfere in Syria and there will be less weapons to deal with. Instead...Obama is gung ho...filtering money to Killers of Christians...the Rebels.

we should cut him some slack over the deadline. Especially since our government couldn't design a decent website with at least 3-1/2 years to do it.

How absolutely unexpected was this? Duh. Only idiots like Obozo, Kerry, and Rice would believe this. If you measured the collective IQ of these three, you'd come up with that of a rock.
