Make sure you check out the phone that’s hosting the Droid system. My friend has one (don’t remember which one it is, but I believe he’s got Verizon) and he can’t remove the battery.

How does that work? Can you be traced if the phone is off? Do you have to remove the battery in order for it not to be traced?

I'm not a lawbreaker, and I never used to mind a reasonable amount of infringement on privacy. But this is out of control, way past anything ever envisioned in the science fiction we grew up with.
