Had a Ruger Super Redhawk for four years in Alaska. Didn't shoot it much as it hurt my hand and was a monster to shoot. The good thing is in .454 Casull it was the best bear medicine I could lay my hands on. Great hand canon and as always if you have a problem Ruger always come through.
Ruger service, Yeah, You can't beat it. Their whole service dept goes on vacation at the same time. I happened to catch them at that time and it still took only three weeks from the time I dropped it off at UPS. They not only fixed the sear, it came back with the best trigger I ever saw on a Ruger.
BTW were you shooting WINCHESTER 260 Gr loads. That is the hardest kicking round I have ever shot. I now load a 340Gr hardcast bullet. Loaded to the top, it doesn't have near the kick that Winchester does. Different powder, I guess. Much more fun to shoot. It still isn't a 22, but I didn't buy a 22.
