Yeah, I picked him to win but it looked like he was headed for defeat, it was close to being stopped for a minute there in the first round.

Gotta give props to Weidman for having his number.

Terrible way to go out for one of the best fighters ever, I would have liked to see him take some fun matchup fights to close out his career if he couldn’t get the belt back.

It looked like he wasn't going to be able to beat Weidman, but you never know.

However, the ending to this fight was just gruesome.

I didn`t pick him to win only because it looked like Weidman just had his number. One of those things where your opponent seemed to have been made for you to beat.

At 38 he has lost a 1/2 step. That said, Weidman is no Silva and never will be. Weidman, from a wrestling background while Silva`s style was self-made. Hands down to block takedowns, head movement and cat quick reflexes to counter punch, and uncanny ability to judge distance.

Humble outside the ring, frustrating to fight inside the ring with his Ali style of cockiness, there will never be another fighter like him.
