A&E's decision to reinstate Phil Robertson on Duck Dynasty shows the network has "chosen profits over African American and gay people," the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) said on Saturday.
"Phil Robertson should look African American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists," GLAAD said in a statement. "If dialogue with Phil is not part of next steps then A+E has chosen profits over African American and gay people -- especially its employees and viewers."
Roberts was suspended from the hit show after he gave an interview with GQ Magazine in which he made anti-gay comments and said he didn't see black people suffering inequality before the civil rights movement. On Friday, the network released a statement saying he would return to the show in 2014.
"After discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family," the release stated.
In a statement to Fox News, the family said they were "excited to keep making a quality TV show."
"We will continue to represent our faith and values in the most positive way through Duck Dynasty and our many projects that we are currently working on," they said in the statement. "The outpouring of support and prayer has encouraged and emboldened us greatly."(continued)

If I had to choose almost anything to gays and race baiting blacks I would do the same.
It isn’t a hard decision not to choose queers perverts and race haters.
I’ve not read every article about this brew ha ha. But I’ve read a bunch. I find it odd that AFAIK, except for the CEO, none of the people making decisions at A&E has been identified. It’s like they don’t exist.
Good for you GLADD. Right back atcha!
chosen profits over African American and gay people.
Nice to see they threw in the blacks to kick it up a notch.
Oh, the GayKK has read Phil's statements. They just read whatever they want into them to suit their perpetual grievance agenda.
It's a "living" statement, don'tcha know.
How dare a for-profit company consider profits for their shareholders more important that the promotion of deviant sex.
GLAAD are practically a terrorist organization, of the cultural variety. Kind of like FFR Foundation and the SPLC.
Isn't it telling that the gaystapo doesn't stop to note that Phil Robertson was picking cotton right alongside those black people he talked about? It never dawns on them that he was as poor as they were, and that he likely felt a great deal of kinship with them, due to similar circumstances.
They hate “profit” because it reveals what is supported by the people and what is not.
Jesse will face an end very similar to this. He bloviates, lies and threatens. Sets terms and a deadline.
No one responds.
Since Jesse didn’t seem to get his pound of flesh
did he get his pound of C notes?

Eric “my people” Holder will get right on that after he prosecutes the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation, investigating fast and furious, prosecuting the Benghazi terrorists, investigating ACORN, invstigating 110% voter turnout and vote fraud...........
Goatse could not be reached for comment.
He didn’t ‘praise’ Jim Crow laws - he said blacks weren’t miserable. And that’s true. Ask anyone in the early days of the civil rights movement how difficult it was to get everyday blacks involved. Back then most blacks were like whites today - they had jobs to go to and families to support... A fair share of them were pretty conservative - - one of the reasons for ‘community organizers’ - people to get them out of their homes on on to the streets to protest.
Definitely about profits. A&E is a business after all, in a declining market, and needs to do what it has to. Despite this, I still believe that they are intolerant idiots and weasels.
So...if the network had chosen African Americans and gay people instead, then Duck Dynasty would be off the air, and the millions who watch it would no longer be able to watch it, all to make "African Americans and gays" happy. Does it not occur to them that demanding things be taken from others will make them hated?! These people push their weight around and then wonder why there is "prejudice, racism and homophobia" against them.
If K-Mart/JC Penney, etc., had made similar decisions, they wouldn’t be in the same bind. They opted to follow the sinking ship of homosexual worship/minority catering to the bottom. A&E saw the light of that business model’s flaws (as did Cracker Barrel). Kodak started its death spiral when it decided to “modernize” in all things PC and neglected staying up with technological trends.
