Phil Robertson, the patriarch of A&E's Duck Dynasty clan who was suspended from his hit reality series on Dec. 18 following some incendiary comments about gay people, won't be put on hiatus after all.

Maybe so, but actually, Cracker Barrel did a mighty quick turnaround.
People are giving A&E way too much credit for creating this ratings “ploy”. It was no such thing. Just like Cracker Barrel, the A&E Network executive team wrongly listened to their PR idiots who thought Phil’s UN-PC comments would send their progressive consumers scrambling for an alternative. Both companies were dead wrong, and the backlash threatened to kill their golden DUCK.
I suspect both company’s executives were subjected to a good old, “Come to Jesus” by their major stock holders, and were reminded that profits far out-weighed listening to a vocal, but miniscule part of the population......especially when the profits are insane. Recent history dictates that PC normally wins out in this twisted world, but the silent majority is finally starting to get over their laryngitis.
Hiatus? Heck, I’ve seen more Phil Robertson on all the DD Marathons, which seem to be a daily event.
I decided to catch up on some old episodes I missed. The one where Phil is telling his Grandson and the Grandson’s Girlfriend not to have Sex was hilarious.
When he mentioned Herpes and Crabs, I almost fell on the floor.
“Folks, this frankly is not good. Just wait until the ads roll and your kids are watching them while you are out.”

I think it was all a publicity gimmick, at Phil Robertson’s expense, to get more people to watch Duck Dynasty. Would love to see him tell A&N to stick it in the ear. What a bunch of crap. Just another gimmmick. They tried to embarrass and humilate him and make fun of him. He should tell them where to go!
I watched DD for five minutes yesterday. The young guys were competing pulling trucks and eating hot peppers. They kept showing Si saying “ boom” over and over until I finally had to laugh. I guess I can see why people watch.

yeah.. you know... A&E says he’s coming back... but we haven’t heard that from the family yet.
