Phil Robertson, the patriarch of A&E's Duck Dynasty clan who was suspended from his hit reality series on Dec. 18 following some incendiary comments about gay people, won't be put on hiatus after all.

Yes, there is a ratings bonanza, but what else? Christians won a skirmish or two....can’t believe that ultimately that is a win for Satin and his Hollyweird minions.
GLAAD still pulls their strings. Most of us are just too stupid to realize this.
My point is all of these announcements are one sided
Have we heard any statement except the one where he says he stands by what he said
just to clarify: the woman who brought suit against Paula Dean was a white woman. Her last name was Jackson, and I think that threw a lot of people off. Nevertheless, it was a hit job, anyway.
Bingo!
“As a global media content company, A+E Networks core values are centered around creativity, inclusion and mutual respect.”
And that’s why A&E has been trying to make them stop praying and saying, “Jesus”, from the git-go (but they refused). So A&E’s alleged “values” of “inclusion and mutual respect” is a bunch of hogwash. How stupid do they think we are, anyhow?
In any case, glad that GLAAD has been dissed. Each time the majority of Americans take a stand as they did here, the LBGT community gets knocked down a peg or two. I’ll be happy when they are powerless.
Thanks. It’s too bad the leadership didn’t fight back.
. He said he preferred women and didnt understand the other choice
Exactly. And A&E is bitching about tolerance. This is not a tolerance issue. It’s an issue of hypocrisy. If a gay actor on a TV show was interviewed in The Advocate, and giggled about how he doesn’t get vaginas, he’s just not into them, NO ONE WOULD FIRE HIM. NO ONE WOULD CALL HIM INTOLERANT.
There is only one allowed opinion in lib media, and that is the intolerant part. Robertson said he loved everyone as a child of Gd.
Phil Robertson can win a principled PR battle with the left while folks like Boehner and McConnell are afraid to say boo!
How do we get congressional representation? There are few representing me in congress. Conservative people with gonads intact are un represented.
The truth is that Americans have always been tolerant of homos. Rarely did anyone go out and find a homo to pick on or hurt.
Not actually true. When I was in high school a gay guy would be beat up in the locker room with the coaches looking on approvingly. I worked in a hotel where the head chef, an older guy, was once beaten black and blue on Santa Monica boulevard near a gay bar.
Because salt-of-the-earth Americans erroneously rely on the GOP party machine when it comes to the government; the GOP machine can only produce Mccains and Romneys. Before America can be rebuilt, the Republican party must be rebuilt.
Yeah. I hope this doesn’t turn out to be a “Drink Your Ovaltine” thing.
The power of the wallet is a power indeed...
What? Yeah, that’s my question. Did Ol’Phil call somebody gay or queer or homo or what? I didn’t see that he actually called anybody anything. So where was the “offensive.”?
I don’t doubt Phil’s sincerity, but I do believe this whole thing was relished on both sides for what it would do to the bottom line.
he and his family have publicly stated they regret the “coarse language” he used ....

They caved...
Phil should have had somebody with him at the interview from A&E. Absent that, the network should have kept its comments between them and Phil.
A&E did what they did because some small number of people (it could have been as low as 1) might have been offended by what Phil had to say. What they did was wrong because Phil had the right to express his opinion (1st Amendment Right) and whether they agree or not, they should have kept it to themselves. This was all a veiled publicity campaign that went off the rails quickly because of the way A&E objected to Phil’s comments. I hope that the Robertson family runs out the contract they have with A&E and goes to another network as quickly as possible.
I agree that Phil and Paula cases are two different situations entirely. And I agree, we Christians stand up for our Christian faith.
Paula was expressing herself, which she has the freedom to do in this country, until leftists decide to attempt to pick and choose who will have this freedom, and who won’t. Her liberal leanings didn’t help her one bit, and I read somewhere that her popularity at Food Network had diminished somewhat, and I think they wanted to dump her. I like Paula and her family values, and I hope she finds a niche somewhere else. I’m happy for both Phil and Paula, and may they both prosper.
