They didn’t abuse any power, my employee brought it on himself.

If I hadn’t needed him I would have left him to rot!

I don't know, why don't you tell me?

I stand corrected - you were not shilling. And I am truly sorry for your loss.

I note, however, that you posted this at the time:

"As for the 19 year old boy, I have no anger towards him as he will have to live with this tragedy for the remainder of his life as will his mother and father. I do not want to see him go to jail as I do not believe punishment is the answer in this situation. I wish I could have the opportunity to tell him in person that we do not hate him and only hope that this incident allows him to somehow, someway do some good for others someday in his life."

You seem to have come a long way from not wanting to even see such a person in jail, to being in complete support of three cops body-slamming a 72 year old woman - drunk and resisting or not.

Again, I am sorry for your loss. But it does not even remotely justify out-of-control cops. I suggest that you were under-reacting then, and over-reacting now. Under the circumstances, both are understandable. But I cannot agree with either position.

You must be so pleased that the obama administration now has the legal authority to detain anyone for an unlimited amount of time without that pesky need to move them every 71 hours...

These are not one off events in America because they happen daily but half the time they never hit the newswires.

Someone needs to group them for study purposes, or else we are only going to get a disorganized brouhaha.

So, by your admission, they “beat the crap of of him” and, in order to circumvent legal procedures for holding a person, they moved him around just before the deadline where he would have to have been booked or freed. And they kept him in limbo for two weeks?

And, you don’t see that as an abuse of power or of the legal system? You do not see that as a violation of Constitutional rights?

What, exactly, are you doing on FreeRepublic, anyway?

she wasn’t “slammed” as you are trying to claim.

The old woman was slammed down on the concrete like a rag doll...You should get some eye glasses.

In fact, she seemed unresponsive after that.

If I had been his employee, the company would have been looking for a new boss and the old boss would have been “disappeared”, himself.
S, S and S.
Get my drift?

I am just into my 50’s, but I still respect the foundation of the country and what the Founders wanted for the People.

Old timers or not. Sick and twisted is sick and twisted.

Franklin warned us about keeping our Republic.

Not all enemies of the Republic are foreign.

That NDAA deal of indefinite detention, no due process etc. is the most horrific act ever put up. Hard to believe that happened in America but that is where we are at. (My former No. 1 for 2016 VP Allen West, voted FOR this Nazi Germany style thing by the way and I still can’t believe that one either. What was he, and a whole group of other ‘conservatives’ by the way thinking?). How the heck anyone can defend the actions of these jackboots here just is amazing. It really is.

I think if she were tasered while standing she might go into a free fall and possibly, due to her age, break a hip or get a smashed skull. And the tasering itself can be fatal (Keyword: taser).

Lawsuit: Cop Tasers Cop, Innocent Man Dies

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3100729/posts

Police officers fatally shot an emotionally distressed man eight times in his Harlem apartment after one cop accidentally shot his fellow officer with a Taser, prompting the injured officer to scream “He’s stabbing me, shoot him!”

Darn, your statement sounds like some 3rd. world country’s SOP for handling situations like this. If that little dick lookin’ jack boot could not diffuse the situation and control her without violently putting her on the deck, (with what looked like a clear intent to viciously hurt her by the way), he should be out of a job.

We have all screwed up on forums at times.

Not me, Skippy. Just ask any of the Mods. I'm perfect.

It’s always relative risk here. We never were guaranteed a perfect world here, though we ought to try to make it better.

I would wager many cops wish they had the same abilities to execute suspected criminals as does the PLA as they “AK47” Tibetans who dare challenge Red Chinese authority.
