Where I live, there are so many Amish, and one of the things I learned from them is that the Lord's will will be done, and no mortal has the power to change that. I was once so full of righteous indignation, anger and hatred for those I felt were evil and corrupt. I truly wished and prayed for such horror to befall each and every one of them. That slowly passed by, yet my inner turmoil was still so great. Then came Nickel Mines. In a short time, I had occasion to speak with an older Amish man on a job site we were both on and when I asked him about the terrible event, he and I had a long discussion on Christ, forgiveness, love and healing and the power of God. It was not the mass of the world which took Delaney's life, it was illness. God has His own reasons for why she was taken; why so many die every day; why the world seems so corrupt. I have faith in Him and His plans for each of us. I hope the peace of His will touches you.
The only thing that I understand is violent force against criminals and against disease. Violence makes sense to me.
I do not understand why an innocent little angel like Laney dies in agony while the evil worthless masses not only linger on but successfully devour the world like a great human cancer.

“There were some who pleased God and were loved by Him, and while living among sinners were taken up. They were caught up so that evil might not change their understanding, or guile deceive their souls. For the fascination of wickedness obscures what is good, and roving desire perverts the innocent mind. Being perfected in a short time, they fulfilled long years; for their souls were pleasing to the Lord, therefore He took them quickly from the midst of wickedness. Yet the peoples saw and did not understand, to take such a thing to heart, that God’s grace and mercy are with His elect, and that He watches over His Holy ones.”
Wisdom of Solomon 4:10-15
Perhaps you may find a kernel in these verses to assuage your angst.

It is my belief that we are here to prove we are worthy of the kingdom of heaven. Some of us are good, and some of us are evil, this world is temporary His kingdom is eternity. Souls are recycled until His judgement is made. Suffering in this life means nothing compared to eternity in His blessings.
I too hate the vile evil creatures that do horrific things to innocence's, but I trust that goodness will be rewarded, not on this Earth but in the Kingdom of Heaven.
