Except for the traditional peace churches, I don’t know of any church of more than 100 people that doesn’t have at least 3 to six trained folks carrying. The little churches generally have “John” in the back row or up in the balcony, watching everything.

Reminds me of the time my wife stood staring at the glitter made-up girl bagging our groceries. She copped attitude and asked Mrs. “what are you staring at?” To which the wife answered:

Some years ago I was in a store with my family who dresses almost like Amish. They are very plain Mennonites. I was too t the time. There was a kid following my sister around, mocking her behind her back. In the Mennonite religion, you just ignore the kind, you don’t “fight back”. But this kid made me mad because of how he looked. Blue mohawk, shaved eyebrows, piercings in places I didn’t even know you could piece, etc. Just a regular, all around loser, freakish punk. And he was making fun of my sister because SHE was different? Well, this plain Mennonite boy sidled up to him and in low, menacing tones, told him to commit carnal acts with himself, and to get the [carnal act] out of there. His eyes popped open wide and he quickly complied with my suggestion. I chuckle now, but I was seriously PO’d that this freak would mock my sister for looking different when he was such a freak.

If this is the incident I am remembering, which occurred within this past year, these so-called women did their protest just inside the mosque when there was almost nobody there. As I recall there were just 2 or 3 of their clerics and a horde of journalists. The protestors were not in any danger from a mob of mohammedans.

We have a Amish community near where I live in NW PA. Whenever out at the local Wal*Mart with a female friend of mine from town, she mocks me by having to “alert” me to the presence of young Amish women in the store...It's embarrassing, but I can't help it that a certain type of woman attracts me... and it is NOT the sort you see on your television set, twerking. Actually, my dad was just explaining how he was watching an episode of How It's Made and some young woman was making homemade lye soap from scratch, starting with rendering the lard... and he noted to me, "Now there's a woman for you!". Well... he's right.
