Animal shelters all over the country tend to stay at full capacity. Most are running on a limited budget, and rely heavily on donations. One visit to a shelter, and you can't help but want to help. Some things shelters need are obvious, some are not. Helping may not be as hard as you think.....................

I’d donate feral cats to the shelters....
Cash. Nothing beats it. I give to my local shelter in person to make sure it goes right in to their coffers.
Quit looking down your trousers and ping the lists!
Steak, soup bones and ham hocks?
Are you that someone?
To animals we are gods... let's hope our God watches over us better than we have watched over these little ones.
But it's such a lovely view!
We donated a bunch of old chew toys and bones last week to the West LA Animal Shelter..I cant watch those commercials with those homeless dogs and cats, breaks my heart
5 of our 6 little guys are from rescues and shelters. one was from a christian breeder, but we count him too because he’d have been in a barn in a small cage, his whole life. his ears were ‘’too big” to be a show animal.
“If you get new towels or bedding for Christmas consider donating your old items to your local shelter.”
Many shelters do not accept bedding. Dogs in shelters are often in stress and can chew and swallow items in the runs, choking themselves to death. Most rescues will accept bedding and towels.
Yup, there is one commercial in particular that hits me very hard....the images and the music are very powerful.
There is one they show with Alyssa Milano that just breaks my heart..I cant stand watching any of them because I want to take all those doggies and kitties home with me. When I see those pet adoption centers at the local PetSmart I walk in and want to grab all of them.
You see these news stories about a crazy cat lady with a house full of cats.... I’m certain that behind almost all of those tales are people who just couldn’t bear to see the cats suffering...and it all just gets out of hand.
I’ll probably end up like that some day..lol a house chock full of crazy but happy cats wondering through a wasteland of old computers and electronic parts.
Im more of a pooch lover but I like cats too..I hate to see any animal suffer..those signs about lost dogs/cats is just so sad, I see them everyday. My poochies are my life, I couldnt imagine life without them. The ones who are not dog/cat people just don’t understand but I tell ya, once you hold a little puppy/kitty in your arms you will never let them go

excellent !!!
It would seem odd to be sleeping in a bed without at least one little furry friend curled up beside you :-)
I just adore cats! Each cat is so different from all others...it’s magical.
The above image is from their most recent quarterly newsletter.
Awww!
My best to your furbabies.
