There isn't a majority that opposes the Affordable Care Act because it's too liberal, in fact, a good number of Americans don't think it's liberal enough.
Todays CNN poll (PDF) on the Affordable Care Act seems like a blow to supporters of the law. When asked if they generally favor or generally oppose the presidents health care overhaul, only 35 percent say they favor. The large majority65 percentsay they oppose.
For Republicans who have staked their entire message on opposition to Obamacare, this looks like vindication. Not only was the rollout a disaster, but now, the public has turned decisively against the effort. Why would they stop the attacks and calls for repeal if Americans are united in disdain for the law?
The problem for Republicansand the good news for supportersis that the results are a little more complicated than they look. In addition to the binary question about support or opposition, CNN also asked respondents to explain their position on the law. Do they oppose the legislation because its too liberal, or do they oppose it because its not liberal enough.

Not liberal enough: It doesn’t include tons of freebes that we have no way of paying for.
Well, it DOES have that. Just not enough of them.
Yeah, I’m an evil rotten b@$t@rd for not wanting to work my @$$ off for that next dollar, and not want to give 65% of it so that liberals can fulfill their delusional fantasy of social justice.
Looks like they are trying to figure out how to make the jump to “single payer” faster than they expected to
We need to stop calling them liberals

There’s no limits to the depths of the Left’s insanity and totalitarian urges.
Automatic enrollment (just present your EBT card to any provider)
Priority access to all emergency rooms (just present your EBT card and go to the head of the line)
$2500/year savings (automatically added to EBT card balance)
I suppose this explains why Obama and his minions had to tell so many lies exaggerating the Liberal/Socialistic aspects of this law to get it passed. “You’ll have to change your plan and Doctor, your premiums will be higher in order to redistribute wealth” etc etc.
It appears who ever wrote this stuck their head up their a$$ and then said, “Hey we’re in Palm Springs!”
The ones who oppose it because it is liberal enough are those who do not have to pay for it.
You think it is outrageously high now, just make it more liberal.
Certainly if I were of the entitlement disposition I would want more. Unfortunately I am one of the ones that has to pay through the nose.
Have a poll asking those who received cancellation notices see how they feel.
People hate the insurance companies and want free health care.
In other words, if the government is going to run one-seventh of the economy, it should foot the bill.
We’re going to get single payer by the end of the decade and Obama’s incompetent handling of the quasi-private Obamacare market has only made it look more attractive.
People don’t want to pay premiums? But they’ll happily pay high taxes so they don’t have to worry about out of pocket health care costs.
Everyplace with socialized medicine has a two tier system.
Cheap rotten care, and good expensive care.
e.g. Canada has cheap rotten care with long waiting lists, or good expensive care if you drive a few miles south to the US.
If you look at outcomes with similar disease, US has best health care in the world. It is expensive, but there is nothing so cheap as dying of a disease that could be treated or even cured.
People oppose Obamacare not because Uncle Sam is involved but because they’re still asked to pay the bill.
Where’s my free health care? That’s going to be tough for Republicans to oppose since the country’s demographics have changed.
As Rush Limbaugh pointed out last year, you can’t beat Santa Claus especially when the government IS Santa Claus. Every one wants those shiny presents under their Christmas tree.
Even as Obamacare totally sucks.
So now liberal = in favor of slavery?
Quite a few republicans like the ‘pre-existing conditions’ part of Barrycare, too.
People don't want to pay high taxes for their heath care either. They'd rather other people pay high taxes. This is the country we live in today.
If you like $4.00 gas, you’re just gonna love filling your tank when it’s $8/gal so you can go to the store and buy that $10/lb hamburger and chicken.
Well I am going to nominate that as the posted reply of the day.
