ELLISVILLE, MO. (AP) -- Two men are in custody after allegedly trying to rob a St. Louis County jewelry store, only to have the store owner pull out a pistol and shoot at them.

Authorities say two men from Detroit entered Clarkson Jewelers in Ellisville on Tuesday and implied they had a gun. OK, is there a Detroit in MO or were these guys on vacation from the cesspool in Michigan?
