Eavesdropping is unacceptable among close allies, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday, ordering an official inquiry into reports that the United States had spied on Israeli leaders, including Netanyahu himself.
It was the first response from Netanyahu after weekend revelations that US and British intelligence services intercepted emails in his office and that of his predecessor Ehud Olmert, and also spied on former defense minister Ehud Barak.
In the close ties between Israel and the United States, there are things that must not be done and that are not acceptable to us, the prime minister said at a Likud faction meeting.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
The headline is true Nachum and friends are not the ones attacking civilization. The nsa should place the spying where the spying belongs and that is not on our friends.
Bibi, just use the next couple of weeks to appeal DIRECTLY to the American people, while the Clown and his Iranian-born boss Valerie party it up....
Just ask those who served on the USS Liberty.
The friends he is talking to are the American people NOT THE CURRENT BACK STABBING MAC DADDY ADMINISTRATION.
Spying is unacceptable, that is why Pollard is still in prison
I forgive friends. Enemies are another matter.
Did I miss something? Doesn’t Israel have a history of spying and engaging in espionage against us? Jonathan Pollard? Sydney Pollack? BN is free to criticize the US for espionage activities against Israel but this sanctimonious act is a load of crap.
This isn’t about Pollard. This is about the administration pushing Israel to abandon land and put international troops on their borders.
That is why the Israelis are bringing up the NSA and Pollard. It is a preemptive move before Obama sends Kerry with his bullies in Europe and the UN to push the Israelis.
How true. Not to mention that I am sure Bibi had no qualms about it when it was Pollard Bibi’s country asked to betray there “friend” to USA.
Israel is no one’s friend. Israel acts in the best interests of Israel and, given their history, this is understandable.
What makes him think Obama is his “friend”?
I am sure Mossad has nothing to do with such antics, eh? /s
Bibi should know better, there are no friends, only interests.
Certainly seeing the roaches crawl today.
I doubt he would make that mistake.
And yet Israeli officials also plead that the US release Jonathan Pollard, their convicted spy, from his federal prison sentence.
Makes for knowing is in the air ... tonight.
Bibi, good for you for speaking out. But, remember it will do no good at all. It will not stop Obama/Kerry from spying on you, and it will not stop them and all their IslamoNazi friends and comrades from trying to dismember and destroy you.
Stay alert there!
