It has now been revealed that Phil Robertson will be returning to Duck Dynasty on January 15. A&E said they have no plans to fire the star.
It appears as though the war on Phil Robertson and his freedoms of free speech and religions aren’t quite so savage. Although A&E declared they were suspending the star “indefinitely, ” it was apparently only a façade for the gay community as sources say they still intend to air episodes featuring Robertson .
The Duck Dynasty star came under fire after expressing his beliefs about homosexuality and how it conflicts his religion. In an interview with GQ magazine, he started off by saying, “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers – they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
He went even further into explanation when he said, “It seems like, to me, a vagina – as a man – would be more desirable than a man’s anus.” Afterwards, he even went so far as to compare homosexuality to bestiality and terrorism, a point which made a select portion of the public outraged.
The point Robertson was trying to make here is that you can’t draw a line where “acceptable” sin is. Sin is sin, and the only line you can draw is where it is, not which sin is OK to commit.
Being outraged by the comments members of the gay community went on a double standard rampage—because of course, straight people who don’t agree with homosexuality are labeled “homophobes” while they’re allowed to feel “offended.”
Wilson Cruz, a spokesman for GLAAD,—a gay rights group—made a cry to the public saying, “Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil’s lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe.” He went on to say, “He clearly knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans – and Americans – who support legal recognition for loving and committed gay and lesbian couples.”
The funny thing about his statement is that Louisiana is one of the majority 33 states that have an all out ban on same sex marriage. If there was a majority in support of the lifestyle then wouldn’t that show as either a majority in the states that allow it, or at least in the “majority” led Louisiana?
Either way, A&E quickly moved to make a public statement where they said, “The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely,” and that, “His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.”
Well it turns out that this may just be a ploy to let heat cool down as they play out the rest of Robertson’s episodes. Apparently they are going to play the next season with episodes featuring Robertson as they have already filmed and edited them.
But what about his suspension—is A&E going to stand by their statement?
A source close to the situation stated that, “There’s no negotiation to have; we’re doing the show. We’ll figure out a solution. It’s just not going to happen overnight. Everybody will take a break for the holidays and regroup afterward. That’s probably the smartest thing for everyone to do. Time heals a lot of wounds.”
Apparently they’re not done milking this money cow yet as once again, money has proven dominance over morals.
There really shouldn’t have been any issue in the first place as it was Robertson’s right to express how he felt under his freedoms of speech and religion. But, hopefully A&E will be exposed for the greedy hypocrites they really are.

There are 85 million Evangelicals in the US. Less than half — about 40 million are registered to vote.
About half of those bother to vote. Just think if the bulk of the 85 million DID vote. What would we NOT have now -- the anti-Christ and a Senate full of his minions, for one.
It's time for Christians to organize and VOTE this coming election on 11/14. THEN vote, even “louder”, in 2016.
If that happened the progressives would be delegated to the whimpering,meaningless, AND powerless insects that they should be. The “LGTB community” MINORITY would have no power and the majority of conservatives would be the ones that people would be afraid of insulting! Maybe the passion for voting -- the chance to take our country back -- is where all this energy should be applied...eh?

That’s good but I would key in on the meaning of those “who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” — which I take to be a further category beyond one’s personal unbelief.
This is active SUPPRESSION in all UNRIGHTEOUSNESS — and that gets God’s judgement upon that person with the most DEBASING and DISGUSTING THING a human being can ever be involved in (at least that’s the way God views it).
It seems that the biggest problem here is GLAAD. They need to be recognized for what they are - a group that promotes hate.

I believe you are absolutely right and the effect has been a giant roar from the huge Christian population in America..Now, perhaps they will register and vote according to their numbers..Staying home on Election Day is no longer an option if you, as a Christian, want to keep your Constitutional rights. A population segment of 2 1/2 % should not be allowed to dictate to the rest of America concerning what to believe about anything.
He is still suspended.
He is not returning to the film set to make new shows.
They are only following through with shows that have already been produced.

Yes, and Christians should do some intense investigating concerning other businesses whose goal is to reject traditional American culture in favor of a secular society. Vote with your pocketbook. The time to get off the fence is NOW. I hope Phil Robertson, in addition to being the Patriarch of the Robertson family, will become the Patriarch of a Christian renewal in America. Many of us have prayed for revival for a long time. Could this be the start of the next one?
Just in the last week there was a report that voter registration and turnout is extremely low among evangelicals compared to other groups. What the left might be worried about is that a charismatic figure like Phil emerges who is politically aware enough to get these people to the polls. That is of course why they destroyed Palin. Last week’s attack was almost certainly an attempt to destroy Phil for the same reasons, to keep a potential political mobilization from occurring. They could stomach Phil while he was just an entertainment figure, but when he ventured into social and political issues in that interview they got scared and lashed out to silence him. They need to keep Christians in the closet or their agenda will suffer a major setback.

You’re right - CB and A&E caved to a minor minority and the Christians in the US rose up in opposition and they caved in while looking at how that would affect their inbound funding from customers...
Anytime I took a road trip with the family - we always stopped at CB for lunch or Dinner...NO MORE....they showed their ilk and it stinks and is fake to promote American values and then shy away due to some idiots throwing a fit...makes one wonder who is employed with in their corporate structure!

Yes, this is the bottom line for us, as Christians..Why have we not been taught that it is our responsibility to be faithful as citizens in a Judeo-Christian nation to uphold our values in our society. Those who want to take away our rights, given to us by God, have been working day and night to do just that. Now, they control most of our major institutions, the media, entertainment and, yes, the government. Why? Because we have been working, rearing families, paying taxes and, in general trying to be good citizens while they have been busy for years trying to destroy traditional America along with the values which gave us our inalienable rights. I hate to put it this way but we Christians need to show the world what community organizing is all about.
