Ex-CIA director: Snowden should be ‘hanged’ if convicted for treason
Fox ^ | Dec 17 2013 | Lucas Tomlinson

Former CIA Director James Woolsey had harsh words Tuesday for anyone thinking about giving Edward Snowden amnesty, and argued the NSA leaker should be “hanged” if he’s ever tried and convicted of treason.

Woolsey, along with former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Hugh Shelton, spoke Tuesday in Washington in an interview with Fox News.

“I think giving him amnesty is idiotic,” Woolsey said. “He should be prosecuted for treason. If convicted by a jury of his peers, he should be hanged by his neck until he is dead."

Benedict Arnold tried to turn West Point over to the British, and later went on a marauding spree in the Carolinas. He was good in the battlefield, until he hurt his leg and was relegated to the West Point command as a result. This hurt his pride, and he was a very proud, boastful fellow. He couldn’t have won the war for America, because he switched sides when it suited him before the war ended.

In the Old Days, some Congressmen and women, either known communists or documented sympathizers (tactical non-Party people), were often not given certain types of intelligence or were given a modified version (the full version going to trusted committee chairmen and senior members of both parties.

Today, the “progressives” and socialists and crooks (Feinstein) control the commmittees. I would love to know what intell is NOT given to her and others like her on the Intelligence, Homeland Security and Defense committees.

Let’s just say that there is more than one way to skin a “red cat”. However, the general malaise and PC-mentality in the Joint Chiefs of Staff (esp. that whimp Dempsey), raises the question of are they exercising good judgment as to who gets what and at what level of classification.

If you gave anything, in the Old Days, to Bella Abzug (am told that she has not yet been publicly outted as a secret member of the CPUSA - evidence has, shall we say, not been found where it should have been; John Conyers, an out and out CPUSA asset; the Burton Brothers, Kastenmeier, Charles O. Porter, Ron Dellums (contacts with the Cuban DGI and the Grenada marxists of Maurice Bishop through his aides (one of whom is now sitting in his congressional seat, Barbara Lee; George Crockett Jr (id. CPUSA), or even Harkin, Dodd and Kerry, you could be sure that some of them forwarded it to Moscow, Cuba or Hanoi. We know that Dellums did.

Since congresspeople are not subjected to background checks, anyone can get elected to Congress, and have, including suspected Communist assets, Party members, DSA members (i.e. the Progressive Caucus), a red diaper baby (Filner, ousted as mayor of San Diego for being weird), and CP sympathizer Krysta Sinema (D-AZ). Add in here Rosa de Lauro of Connecticut, deep into CP contacts.

Can’t do a damned thing about them except expose them with the information we have, which means nothing to too many Liberals/Democrats (treason is not a word in their dictionary).

Clinton was “impeached” but not convicted. Worst mistake Congress made was not convicting him of “high crimes and misdemeanors”, but then we would have had Al Gore (one of the stupidest men ever in high governmental positions - giving Biden a run for that title.

The money deals the Clintons and Gore made with Red China through “cut-outs” were clearly treasonous and articles have recently attributed China’s moon landing satellite’s success with technology given to them by Lockheed and Loral.

The Clintons were also Mob-moneyed up. See Byron York’s article in the April 1997 issue of “The American Spectator” entitled “Let’s Be Friends: A Mob-Controlled Union Delivers the Goods for Bill” (and Hillary and the DSCC, to the tune of over $10 MILLION dollars).

I’d love to know how much Soros money was given to Obama and company? The same for CPUSA and Russian money. Obama’s earliest political supporters included some key Chicago/Illinois CPUSA members including his personal physician Quentin Young (one of the fathers of “universal health care/insurance”.

Another problem we have are corrupt corporalists who give Obama and his reds millions in campaign donations and get special contracts in return. There is a two-year long project for some lucky grand jury.

Feinstein, Pelosi and a few others are just plain greedy bastards, with Pelosi much more shady than most (her husband should be in jail).

Only a major Republican/conservative victory in 2014 can start the house-cleaning (with dynamite) of Congress even if Obama interferes along with Holder. Congress can cut funding for DOJ until they are fumigated of corruption, leftism, bias, and incompetence. But then again, can pigs fly yet?

The same for our military establishment where the PC crowd is running rampant and playing dangerous games with our national security. If anything, the NSA is at least trying to do something to prevent attacks on our country. Clinton’s policies along with those of Obama are inviting attacks, and nobody in the JCS is standing up to the Messiah and telling him he is wrong, stupid and a traitor.

The NSA is the least of our problems, but it is a problem that must be corrected as soon as possible so that they can get back to their real job of going after the enemies of America, not going after Americans who are loyal citizens.

Nobody really knows “what” Pollard gave to the Israelis. If we ever do, then history might have to be rewritten a little if rumors are true of why Pollard did it.

I agree with every word you wrote and then some.
>>The NSA is the least of our problems, but it is a problem that must be corrected as soon as possible so that they can get back to their real job of going after the enemies of America, not going after Americans who are loyal citizens.<<

I think you have expressed the Snowden apologists/supporters wish ... to keep the NSA from going after Americans who are loyal citizens.

The way I see it, we have more traitors in government today than we have patriots. Their oath of office doesn’t mean a thing to the majority of elected folks and in that group I include everyone, judges, sheriffs, mayors, treasurers, you name ‘em and they are in the bag. Our military is sinking faster than a rock. I don’t think they understand what winning means. The troops have to live under equal opportunity officer rulings. They are the equivalent of political officers the same as Germany and Russia had.

The globalist crowd is moving in fast. Agenda 21 and the New World Order is on the horizon but most folks can’t bear to look that far ahead.

I detest Obama and Snowden and cannot follow your reasoning. It is never OK to give secrets to other countries.

“I’ll take my liberty over security.”

If you like, we will put that on your tombstone.

But actually, the two go together.

I prefer a strong intelligence operation by the government, and I think that people should not fear being watched occasionally. One is safer if one’s whereabouts are known. I like to get to know the cops in our town, so they recognize me, and know that I belong there.

But without freedom, we are not safe. You can’t trade freedom for security: it is a devil’s bargain, which means that you don’t get the payoff, the supposed security.

And as far as the traitor goes, I say hang him. You can’t have every misfit around running off to Russia with all the secrets a spy could get in a hundred lifetimes, and then pretend that he was a hero.

How do you feel about the Rosenbergs? Should we build them a monument now?

It is not the intelligence operations which are dangerous, so much as the fact that the government is involved in everything else. The nice-sounding things the government tries to do are far worse! They control education, which means that they brainwash the future generations. They let in huge numbers of aliens, when they should be protecting us. They are trying to take over all our health and nutrition choices. They are corrupting the population with welfare, and encouraging vice through sponsored gambling and lotteries. Now they support approved sexual perversions, and soon (why not?) official prostitution. Almost every racket which used to be the purview of criminal gangs, has now been preempted by the government: marijuana and drugs are coming under that category. Abortion is supported as a matter of policy, and by an alliance with the abortion providers. Counterfeiting is big business by the government, only they are pleased to call it “stimulus,” and maintenance of “infrastructure.”

We need national defense, but we don’t need any of the other things.

I’ll take my liberty over security.

The saying "everything changed after 9/11" is true, and it didn't change for the better. The government managed to convince a lot of previously freedom-loving people that they needed a full blown police state to "protect" them 24x7, and that all opposition to surveillance and security apparatus was "unpatriotic."

You're against the Patriot Act! Well, that must mean you're unpatriotic!

I don’t know what the NSA knows. I do know that the FBI missed a lot of domestic terrorism incidents including the Boston Marathon bombing (despite being given good information about the brothers).

It all depends on the mindset that is guiding an intelligence organization.

Example: Got it from the horse’s mouth. In 1976, Jimmy Carter and company (i.e. his CIA), told its debriefers of Soviet emigres to the US NOT TO ASK ABOUT THE SOVIET CIVIL DEFENSE PROGRAM, despite significant evidence that it was a massive, war-survival ongoing project.

My professor, Leon Goure’, a Russian emigre’ himself, went back to Russia and checked out air-vents used in the Civil Defense program which had been diagrammed for him by more recent immigrants. He also checked out the nuclear-bomb resistant (in theory) of the Moscow subway system.

He was the man that the Carter administration feared the most over the Soviet Union’s CD program. Eventually he prevailed and the CIA began to ask about it.

The old liberal/left mindset and coverup philosophy was and still is, “No Threat From The Left”. For many in the Obama regime, including the Messiah himself, it has also added “No THREAT FROM ISLAM”.

You have to recognize the enemy, his tactics, strategies, and goals in order to know where to look for his operatives and operations.

"The thing with the NSA is that they collect ALL of the information they can and then they say they only access it with a court order."

Everything ObaMao implements is about information, knowledge, then control. Dictatorial power.

This was proven in no uncertain terms during multiple congressional hearings. I was able to watch CSPAN 24 x 7 during the various Snowden hearings.

Having worked in the high-tech, Big Brother industries for my entire career - I've known about our Fed Gov spying on everybody everywhere since the beginning. My direct knowledge was from private companies. Now, we all know the lengths our Fed Gov has taken to consume every single iota of information from every single citizen!

The ObaMao $800+ billion stimulus allocated about $35 billion for electronic health record mandates. There were no laws to handle this mass migration to electronic records. Duh. Then came ObamaCare - confiscating 1/6 of our economy.

"I am not trying to bring down the NSA, I am working to improve the NSA, he said. I am still working for the NSA right now. They are the only ones who don't realize it."

What entitled Snowden, now 30, to take on that responsibility?

"That whole question - who elected you? - inverts the model," he said. "They elected me. The overseers."

He named the chairmen of the Senate and House intelligence committees.

"Dianne Feinstein elected me when she asked softball questions" in committee hearings, he said. "Mike Rogers elected me when he kept these programs hidden... ...The FISA court elected me when they decided to legislate from the bench on things that were far beyond the mandate of what that court was ever intended to do. The system failed comprehensively, and each level of oversight, each level of responsibility that should have addressed this, abdicated their responsibility."

The REAL traitors are digging into the batter's box, and Edward Snowden has taken it upon himself to throw right at their treasonous heads:

"If there's something wrong, those who have the ability to take action have the responsibility to take action."

- Benjamin Gates, National Treasure

Eat dirt, Woolsey, you treasonous SOB.

It did not have recorded conversations or the text of emails, although the FBI could obtain warrants and subpoenas based on NSA data.

Gads, you're naive.

And if you don't believe them, just ask them, they'll tell you.

They got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. I'm done.

In 21st Century, 4-felonies-per-day America, their juror dossiers would normally assure conviction.

This is what the mouthy jerkweed "Snowden is Traitor" pinheads fail to mention.

I notice that no one else replied to your VERY APT post...

Snowden comitted treason and should be executed.

English government sucks considered that the Founding Fathers committed treason, and should have been executed.

Do you realize that Edward "TreasonBoy" Snowden kept a copy of the Constitution on his desk so's he could jam it up the a** of any treasonous piece of NSA crap who proposed violating the Constitution because "they felt like it"?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm? How do you feel about that?
