Marks & Spencer has told Muslim staff they can refuse to serve shoppers buying alcohol or pork, it has been revealed.
The chain has granted checkout workers in more than 700 stores permission to politely decline to serve customers for religious reasons.
Instead, shoppers are being asked to wait to pay for certain items at a different till.

Well, it would be wise to assign staff with religious (or any kind of) limitations to roles that aren't objectionable.

Sure, it’s a management function—that might be responsive to customer pushback, or revenue fall-off.
You would deby Muslims the deference you believe is due to Christians and Jews?
I don't see quite how you can bring that off, under the Constitution.
On the other hand, Islam's "imperialist and supremacist ideology" is antithetical to the Constitution. Suppression of women, honor killings, disrespect of other religions, etc. should be prosecuted accordingly -- without any deference whatsoever.

don´t be silly..racism,not that islam is arace in my view, is one way street with muslims.

I believe the exception releasing Muslims from handling pork is a special exception for Muslims. I do not for one minute believe that if a Christian refused service to a Muslim they would not be fired.
I believe if a bakery wants to refuse to make cakes for a Homosexual couple they have that right, but of course they don’t. The case is in court right now whether or not the Obmacare requirement to pay for abortifacients will be held up.
I believe that to force anyone to buy any product they do not want is wrong.
So if I understand what the Muslims want... They get to refuse to serve anything that go against their faith. But then may I ask why a Christian is not allowed to make the same denial of service when he refuses to serve a gay couple, it is against his faith. But the Christian will get fired or a lawsuit against him.
If that happened to me, I’d leave everything on the checkout belt, walk out and never come back, probably with a loud “You’ve got to fuching be kidding me?”

M&S can have this policy, but they need to be prepared for the backlash too.
A chain store, in a country that likes its booze and bacon (and oh, that British bacon!), at Xmas time, is allowing its employees to basically goof off. Good going, Marks & Sparks.

BUT
1. The Muslim doesn’t make, cut, count, prepare, wrap, or actually sell the liquor or pork;
2. The Muslim’s name is not on the label.
3. The Muslim happens to live in a Judeo-Christian country that up until 1965 refused to make mandatory the selling of both abortifacients AND birth control.
So let’s go full-bore. Why not allow the muzzies to stone OUR adulterers and gays as well as their own and force 6-times-a-day howled prayer in every city or town in which even one of them lives. And, oh yes, let’s compound yet another wrong and call it right.
