It would take a heartfelt Christian faith to get the connection going. If these people could see that they would be the most likely missionaries, they’d likely want to undertake it. I could well believe there would not be a secular sense of brotherhood. It would be like trying to get oil and water to mix.

That, it would. These recently minted Americans don't owe the black American community a doggone thing.

In fact, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if lots of them feel just a bit of disdain toward blacks in this country. Most of them have worked extraordinarily hard to get here, and to make something of themselves.

I can only imagine what they think of blacks who were born here, but who've squandered all of the boundless opportunity surrounding them.
