it is so sad, yet so apparent, that these conflicts are “settled” out of court...i agree that they save money, but if enough of them were challenged, and won, they would cease to exist...
Especially when those “Holy Lice” start breeding in it!
Gee, didn’t they fire Phil over company policy?
if he worked there he’d bitch about meat there not being halal.
some people get hired just to start nuisance lawsuits. muslims fit this category.
Notice that Christians are subclass citizens compared to Muslims? This is proof.
Amish men in the Amish bakeries wear hair nets and beard nets.
Worried about sugery 16 oz drinks, trans fats, salt, or third hand smoke? Don’t look now but there is filthy beard hair in my big mac
The steak, egg and cheese bagel with grilled onions was one of the best breakfast sandwiches of any fast food restaurant as of late imho. I paid about $4 for one when the steak was like steak-ums. About a monthh ago i spent almost $6 for one with a processed steak pattie much like the mcrib. Won’t be eating there again.
Right, and I thought that a fast food company could set hygiene or grooming standards.
If you don't like it...LEAVE.
We're not talking about a Muslim who was refused service.
This guy was on the clock.
Showing you how old I am, when I worked at Taco Bell in the early 80s, the "regulations" included:
For men: always wear the paper (overseas) cap.
Hair must be trimmed neatly. If it extends to the neck area, a hair net must be worn.
No facial hair, except for a groomed moustache, that cannot extend past the lip margin.
Sideburns allowed, but they cannot go beyond the lobe of the ear.
No earrings. At all.
The uniform must be clean.
For women:
You may wear your hair, up, but tied in a kerchief cap.
No more than one stud earring per ear while on duty.
Uniform must be clean.
I remember going into a Taco Bell around 1990 and was greeted by a long haired guy with earrings in both ears, that looked like he SLEPT in his uniform.
If I pulled that kind of crap in 1984 I would have been fired. Or realistically never hired in the first place.
FGS, why can an employer not set hygiene standards for employees?
It's part of the appeal and the brand.
i still believe in millions for defense, but not a PENNY in tribute!!!
A great Letterman “Top Ten List” was titled “Top Ten Castro Pickup Lines”.One of them was “Would you like to check my beard for ticks?” Sounds like it might apply here.Solution? Don’t hire guys named “Mohammed”.Or “Abdul”.
I’d order (pork) sausage patties every chance I got. The plaintiff cannot be too religious or he doesn’t touch the patties... oops Patties may be considered an ethnic slur?
Why would McDonald’s have anything to do with these people? This group does not buy their products and cannot work for them. How many times must they be burned by the ROP before they learn their lesson? Is being PC so important that they would risk (and eventually settle) lawsuits to appease this type?
Newsflash to businesses, don’t hire MUSLIMS.
Come to think of it, beard hairs might be a fine protein additive to some of McD’s food. Would add some flavor to tasteless hamburgers.
Not for hairy Fish Fillets, esp. with mayo.
New McD’s promotion: “Get a free Hairy Fries with a Whopper”.
“...on the basis of the unsanitary condition his eventual beard could create”
How about his left hand? Was he forced to use toilet paper instead of his finger on his left hand?
PC gone totally out of control.................
The beard is a sanitation issue. . .and unless the muslime wears a hair-net over his face, the muslime has got to go.
