I wouldn’t exactly say, Clay, that people are more accepting of gays. The only way gays can get their way it appears is through the courts and negative PR. That’s not exactly acceptance.
What exactly does he mean by “acceptance”?
Clay needs to take a couple of Bible courses. Phil Robertson’s statements were firmly rooted in Scripture. His remarks, taken in total (not out of context) clearly demonstrate that neither he or his family condemn those who choose to live outside the tenets of the Holy Bible; they leave to the Good Lord.
The moral relativists and the PC crowd have turned this into a circus, needlessly. Of course, this is distracting a significant portion of the electorate from the continuing debacle that is 0bama-don’t-care.

There is no presumption in the Constitution that gays have a right to marry like a man and a woman. They have legal rights to being partners, inheriting, etc.; but they cry after "marrying" which was a religious ceremony until the govt. found they could extract legal tender from licenses, blood tests, etc.
Homosexuality IS listed as a sin in the Bible, and Bible believers cannot be forced to change their opinions to be PC.

It is a RELIGIOUS free speech/free to choose and practice issue.
All this parsing of free speech rights being govt. free not free otherwise is bs. The gays are NOT just after their perceived civil rights, but are after FORCING everyone in the nation to give up their religious rights and beliefs because the gay lobby is RIGHT and everyone else is wrong. They even want to teach homosexuality as normal in the schools, starting with kindergarten. The LGBT and followers are the PC Gestapo and I am tired of them in my face.

I find it amusing when people compare mental illness to ethnic/racial identity. They need help though, not be left to wander around thinking their fecal fascination is “normal”.

According to scripture, interracial marriage is not a sin.
Whether disabled children are institutionalized or not, is not a sin.
Homosexuality, according to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the father of Jesus Christ, is a sin. Actually, an abomination.
Thankfully, dealing with it as sin it can and has been overcome. Homosexuals, like any sinners, can be washed clean and born anew - with Christ.
Clay, if you or anyone else made a remark about interracial marriage, locking up disabled kids, or even euthanizing old people, I would think to myself, “What an a$$hole, but he’s entitled to his opinion.”, and go on with my life. I would probably not listen to any of your music (you are a musician, right) or buy any of your albums.
I would not call for you being taken off of any show, performing at any concert, or waste any of my valuable time trying to keep you from doing anything.
What I wouldn’t do, don’t do, and won’t do is support anyone that tries in any way shape or form to curtail anone’s rights. So go have fun, Clay. Do what makes you happy.
