2013 is coming to a close, and unfortunately it appears the debates and controversies will continue into 2014. One thing I'm thankful for is that politicians and personalities love to talk. I present to you some of the more memorable quotations from 2013. As a reminder, memorable does not necessarily mean prolific, inspirational or historical. In fact, some of them might become the annoying song you can't get out of your head.
"I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is ... He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability the extraordinary, uncanny ability to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think he has never been really challenged intellectually." Valerie Jarrett, President Obama's long-time advisor and confidant
By all means, President Obama, why don't you put down that Rubik's Cube and solve Obamacare and the economy?
"Those are benefits that Americans have been feeling and will increasingly feel as Obamacare is fully implemented. So, I think, actually, Candy, that Democratic candidates will be able to run on Obamacare as an advantage leading into the 2014 election." Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee in an interview with CNN
Congresswoman Schultz, you just keep giving the Democrat party that advice, and we'll see what happens in November. Can anyone say "delusional?"

Valarie Jarrett’s ridiculous description of Barack Obama as some kind of demigod with intellectual powers beyond mortal men is a howler, for sure. Obama was surprised to learn that buying insurance is ‘complicated’ - but he is a mega-genius? I think not. Jarrett is as funny in her description as she is delusional. One wonders if the woman believes a word of that tripe.
Just yesterday in his bloviating press conference The Won again stated that he has cut the deficit in half. He also said things are great here in Obamanation and 2014 will be a super fantastic candycorn-pooping unicorn year. Oh boy.
I hear you...Can’t stand to listen to 0bama any longer, that narcissist is his own biggest fan. He’s perfect and anything that goes wrong is someone elses fault.
We don’t normally watch The Won for more than a nanosecond, but yesterday just for the entertainment factor we started waiting to see how late he would be to the podium....about 15 minutes late. Then hubby and I kept watching, stunned at how Zero loves to hear himself talk. Soon, we started noticing his numerous hand and arm gestures, one of which I called “doing the Mashed Potato” dance. I had never heard him speak for an hour before. It was painful, but at this point we are all used to the pain, and to see him squirm and avoid answering the question, and then say some canned incoherent statement was a bit amusing. We had to laugh when he said how great the economy was and how next year would be the best year ever. Oh Barry, you really are the smartest person on the planet! In fact, we know that 2014 will be a nightmare for all the dems who are up for re-election, as ZeroCare pisses off millions more Americans.
I most always have Fox News on during the day while Freeping with volume way down in case something breaks.
When 0bummer is going to speak I always tell the wife how late I think he’ll be this time and I’m usually pretty close, we both get a laugh out of it.
When he finally shows up I mute it. He was on a long time yesterday but then like you say, he does love to hear himself talk. :-)
“He knows exactly how smart he is”
He knows he has an IQ of 90?
I’ll bet he wishes it was 90. :-)
