Cracker Barrel statement:
Cracker Barrels mission is Pleasing People. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture.
We continue to offer Duck Commander products in our stores.
We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation.
We continually evaluate the products we offer and will continue to do so.

Cracker Barrel? As a Caucasian I’m offended by the name </ sarcasm>
I think they may have had some racial problems w customers in the past, as Denny’s did, and they post statements and mention on checks that they don’t discriminate based on race etc. And now this re: Robertson.
I won’t eat at Cracker Barrel. My sister and I ate at one in Tallahassee and she had several black hairs under her food. She puked and we left.
I wouldn’t shop a Cracker Barrel for fear that someone might think that I was a queer.
Isn’t Cracker Barrel headquartered in Tennessee? Tennessee? Must be close to the satanic influence of fallen Nashville.
Right now, I imagine the CEO & the executive staff are in an unscheduled meeting & IT IS NOT PLEASANT. Squirming in the corner is the PR team that released THAT ridiculous statement. There is no Santa in the room. Mostly, there is fear. By tomorrow, the parking lots at the restaurants will start to empty, while Chik-Filet will see an uptick in business. Merry Christmas!
Can you change a business model from rustic southern cooking to effeminate humus cafe overnight? Do incense, body lotions, & depilatory products sell as well as scented candles & Duck Commander products?
Another thing: I hope the pastors & priests realize what is happening here, & start preaching the Bible rather that keeping silent about sin. All this feel good “tolerance” will only doom people to Hell.
Cracker Barrel has pretty good food at reasonable prices, but so do many other restaurants. The next time I am traveling, I will choose one of the other restaurants that also offers good food at reasonable prices. Censoring conservatives is their right as a private business, but imposing consequences on those who bow down to the far left is my right.
Lebanon, TN, just east of Nashville.
'The Corporate Division of Cracker Barrel recently decided that it would be better for our company to stand with a bunch of radical queers by removing certain DD merchandise from our gift shop shelves. The person responsible for this unbelievably stupid decision has been taken out and shot. What the hell were we thinking? ALL Phil merchandise is being returned to the shelves in plenty of time for Christmas shopping. Thank you."
Real story - Cracker barrel doesn’t want their stores (which are small) filled with people who think buying a T-shirt is a moral statement.
They look pretty silly by just removing the “Phil” stuff. The rest of the family stand by Phil, so how is their thinking any different. Why would their merchandise be staying? Can’t have it both ways - either remove all of it or none of it.
Bad move for the chain with the mediocre microwave menu. It’s not that difficult to drive the extra few miles past a PC-sell-out Cracker Barrel to some real food.
Thanks for the confirmation!
Just send them a goodbye forever from my wife and I.
I don’t go their in the fist place, now I even have a better reason not to go.
They did this the day before Sunday??? What brilliant timing! I suspect there will be a LOT of empty rocking chairs on the ‘ol front porch come tomorrow morning.
Heh.
The nail in the coffin will be when gay rights groups proclaim their support for CB.
Nothing ruins a party quicker than a turd in the punch bowl.
Cracker Barrel, I have become aware that you have entered the recent Phil Robertson fray by saying that some of their products have been removed from your shelves and the remainder are being ‘evaluated’.
May I say this, it was my impression that your company was a member of a small group of ‘moral’, non-PC driven, Christian companies.
Perhaps I was mistaken. If you have to evaluate whether or not a spoken truth, based on the Word of God is too ‘offensive’, then your company is guilty of INTOLERANCE to moral people and is not worthy of my financial support.
Please advise, in a clear, unequivocating fashion, why I might be mistaken in my new impression of your company.
Is CB a stand-alone entity or are they a subsidiary of larger corporation with other interests that appeal to homosexuals?
If a stand-alone entity I can’t imagine that homosexuals contribute much to CB’s bottom line.
Thanks for the link...just let’em know what I thought.
