PA allows CCW, in NJ you are lamb waiting to be slaughtered.
We moved to Alaska from Pa. in early 90s. No gun permits of any kind here in Alaska. Friends tell me Pa has really changed for the worse too (crime) though. Here in Alaska, everybody has a gun on them, mainly to shoot game when they see it while they are driving down the road, I keep a 10 inch S&W 460 on my trk dash. I have a bunch of pistols also, but rarely have them on my belt. No Afri Amers within 300 miles of my house, no crime to speak of; last shooting was over 30 years back.
And that is why I live in PA. Helping a friend who is new to firearms pick out a pistol for defense. He’ s a NJ resident and the silliness he has to go through just to keep a handgun in his home (CCW is not even with trying for) is ridiculous. I feel bad for him. Parts of NJ are really quite beautiful, particularly those along the Delaware River, but their laws regarding firearms ownership are so ridiculous that you feel like you’re in Castro’s Cuba, instead of being just 100 yards across the river from PA.
