WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Big changes for gun owners in the nation’s capital will impact tens of thousands of law-abiding citizens, many of whom have no idea the change is coming.
The new requirement for gun owners in the District goes into effect next year and failure to comply could mean jail time.
Starting Jan. 1 all registered gun owners in D.C. must re-register their firearms within 90 days. D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says notices will start going out to gun owners soon.

I doubt there are “tens of thousands” of gun owners in DC. Even after the Heller ruling, DC has made it nearly impossible to own firearms. This is just another effort on their part to infringe gun owners rights.

Now they have to register them again or the SS Nazi agents in DC will come to their homes and confiscate the guns.

Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has concluded its investigation into NBC anchor David Gregory without an arrest.
Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier’s spokesman Gwendolyn Crump emailed Wednesday morning: “Emily, MPD has completed the investigation into this matter, and the case has been presented to the OAG for a determination of the prosecutorial merit of the case.”
