Contractually, A+E is probably doing this under a ‘moral clause’ (Yes, ironic)- that his statements brought disrepute upon the show.
However that may very well not hold up in a court of law considering the nature of the show.
So a+E may have lost their contractual rights by breaking the contract.
all depends on the specifics of course.
This thing has an independent life now.
It could have legal merit, either way...
Since we do not have a copy of the contract (it is probably smaller than ObamaCare), it is unlikely any of us could do anything more than speculate...
I do believe all here would agree that this is indicative of the times we live in and that the letigious nature of the worlds population has yet again proven that you cannot protect even your own property and intellectual rights to ANYTHING, anymore...
This family is probably going to lose everything, and that would be a tragedy in and of itself...
