Kentucky Republican U.S. Rep. Andy Barr of Lexington is one of the targets of a new ad campaign from national Democrats who are trying to put incumbent GOP congressmen on the defensive for repeatedly voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched web ads Tuesday aimed at Republican congressmen in competitive re-election races including Barr on the effect their attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act would have on their constituents.
The DCCC is also launching a website, FacesOfRepeal.com , in which Kentuckians and other Americans can share their stories of how the repeal of Obamacare would hurt them.
So far, the site features only one story from a Kentuckian. He hails from Vanceburg, the hometown of another Republican congressman, Thomas Massie. The DCCC does not have an ad against Massie.
The DCCC criticized Barr and other Republicans for attempting to repeal the law multiple times but not offering any solution to fix the problems the people in the health care system.
For every statistic, there are millions of seniors who are saving thousands on prescription drugs, countless Americans who wont face bankruptcy because of health care, and millions of sick kids who are guaranteed coverage and those are the people who Congressman Barr is hurting with his obsessive repeal efforts, said Emily Bittner of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Barrs office dismissed the ad as a partisan attack.
Andy Barr is focused on doing the job he was elected to do for the people of the sixth district of Kentucky and not on partisan, negative political attack ads from Washington, Barr spokeswoman Catherine Gatewood said in a statement to Pure Politics.

Yes, repeal it.
Everyone should be working towards the goal.
Repealing Obamacare should be a “bipartisan” goal.
Barr is saying, “Thanks DCCC”!
The donks are DELUSIONAL, aren’t they?
Now, how will the Stupid Party screw this up and save the donks’ tails?
I must commend the Dhims for doing this. They are not afraid of being on an attack mode for a hot button issues that potentially bury them. Republicans tend to avoid those and stuttering when being confronted instead of beng ready (women, abortions, gay marriage, etc.)
Milions of sick kids that are guaranteed coverage??
The sign-up must be going WAY better than reported.
DISMANTLE domestic socialist contructs. DEFUND them.
Above all, if you wish to be strong, begin by rooting out every particle of socialism that may have crept into your legislation. - Bastiat

I don’t know about that as I’ve read that Kentucky is embracing their state version of O-Care.
Democrats are masters at messaging. This is exactly what Republicans should have done during the shutdown - bring out all the people who's policies got cancelled by Commiecare.
Now the Democrats are going to spin Commiecare and make any attempts at repeal as "hurting" the folks who are on it (never mind that they're being hurt already).
Democrats did the same thing with Medicare and Social Security, and now any politician who wants to reform or privatize both programs gets vilified.
Part of the messaging, and what this does is force the Republicans to compromise on Obamacare ("Naw, naw...I don't want to repeal Obamacare, I just want to make it work better, yeah that's it, work better. Dup dee dup dee doo..")
Why on earth are the Democrats running pro-Barr ads?
I think they are crazy.
They are busy stepping in the dog dump in their yard if they think running with Obamacare is going to save them.
Are they sleeping with Debbie Washerwoman or what?
The demented imbeciles at the DCCC are free to keep stealing a pay check, but they obviously aren’t wise to Goebbels warning about bad propaganda.
Of course, they would be wise to remember how things turned out for JG and his family too.
