John Podesta apologizes for Jonestown quote
Politico ^ | 12/18/13 | JONATHAN ALLEN

Speaker John Boehner’s office ripped John Podesta, the incoming counselor to President Barack Obama, for comments he made to POLITICO, comparing House Republicans to followers of Jim Jones, who murdered five people, including then-Rep. Leo Ryan, before committing mass suicide in Guyana in 1978.

“For those who’ve forgotten, a Democratic member of Congress was murdered in Jonestown and a current one, Rep. Jackie Speier, was shot five times during the same incident,” Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said in a statement to reporters. “If this is the attitude of the new White House, it’s hard to see how the president gets anything done again.”

Too late, idiot.

The rats are in a tizzy.. and there is no escaping the arse-whupping they are about to receive in the next few rounds of elections.

This "Jonestown", "Kool Aid" thing is more apt for Obama than some people know. The media and historians don't usually go into much detail about the true nature of it.

"In 1951, [Reverend Jim] Jones (Jonestown) began attending communist meetings and rallies in Indianapolis.[4] Jones became flustered at harassment he received during the McCarthy Hearings,[4] particularly, regarding meetings between Jones and his mother with Paul Robeson.[5] This, among other things, provoked a seminal moment for Jones where he asked himself "how can I demonstrate my Marxism? The thought was, infiltrate the church."[5][4]"

"In the summer of 1977, Jones and most of the 900 members of the People's Temple moved to Guyana from San Francisco after media pressure built.[25] Jones left the same night that an editor at New West magazine read Jones an article by Marshall Kilduff to be published detailing allegations by former Temple members.[25][16] Jones named the settlement Jonestown after himself.

Jones purported to establish Jonestown as a benevolent model communist community stating, 'I believe we’re the purest communists there are.' [26] Jones' wife, Marceline, described Jonestown as "dedicated to live for socialism, total economic and racial and social equality. We are here living communally."[26] Jones wanted to construct a model community to show others and stated that Prime Minister of Guyana Forbes Burnham 'couldn’t rave enough about us, uh, the wonderful things we do, the project, the model of socialism.'[27] In that regard, like the restrictive emigration policies of the then Soviet Union, Cuba, North Korea and other communist republics, Jones did not permit members to leave Jonestown.[28]

Jones and several members argued that the group should commit "revolutionary suicide" by drinking cyanide-laced grape flavored Flavor Aid (often misidentified as Kool-Aid) along with a sedative.[39]

One member, Christine Miller, dissents toward the beginning of the tape.[39] When members apparently cried, Jones counseled "Stop this hysterics. This is not the way for people who are Socialists or Communists to die. No way for us to die. We must die with some dignity."[39] Jones can be heard saying, "Don't be afraid to die" and, regarding death as "just stepping over into another plane" and that "[death is] a friend."[39] At the end of the tape, Jones concludes: "We didn't commit suicide, we committed an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhumane world."[39] Children were given the drink first and families were told to lie down together. The mass suicide had been discussed in simulated events called "White Nights" on a regular basis, while members drank liquid Jones first told them was poison during at least one of those White Nights.

“Collusion. Makes Boner Boehner look like a fighter. A put up fake.”

Exactly.

It’s all scripted these days.

Collaborators (McCain/Boehner/Cantor) get their script handed to them, and they follow it.

McCain’s acting is so bad, I could no longer tell myself any of this was genuine.

GOP are ‘shocked, shocked’ at every Marxist stunt, right before they arrive in the Senate chamber to vote for each Marxist power grab.

I’m sick of short memories. Podesta and Lanny Davis spent years shouting people down on tv, and they were employed by a disgrace of a White House at the time.

Go ahead Boehner you dope, compromise with people who believe fervently you are part of a murdering, suicidal cult.

“Now that he has added this tidbit to the debate, anybody in the GOP want to co a comparison between Obama and Jones?”

Barbara Walters did confess that they thought he was the Messiah.

He's very sorry... he got caught.

Not at all. This is a standard lawyer tactic. You say something outrageous in court, opposing counsel objects, the judge instructs the jury to disregard the statement, but the slur has been made. Maybe the judge "warns" you but the poo has been flung, the damage has been done.

I think Jones’ ultimate goal was to takeover the whole of Guyana and establish it as a Soviet client in South America.

Jonestown was populated by Democrats, and Jim Jones was supported by Democrats: Feinstein, Harvey Milk, Moscone, etc... The Demonrats have blood on their hands by supporting that mad man, but the Media will never call them on it.

You're right El Cid - it's like our stupid press being 'unaware' the KKK was a dem organization... and that the ONLY KKK member in modern times to serve in the Senate was Robert Byrd - a Democrat.

Look around for film of Jim Jones' public meetings while he was still in CA. Likewise, look for Obama's meetings with the 'community' whilst still in Chicago. It's the same swarm of hysterical, two-digit IQs swooning over howthe guy with the big mouth is going to make their lives perfect. "Gon' ge' me a 'Bama pho'.!"

He looks a lot like Ezekiel Emanuel, the creator of the “Death Panel” and brother of Rahm. Those same dead eyes, that lean, hard, determined look on his face, communists/socialists/marxists all. Put em’ on your Wanted Dead or Alive list for later.

All is forgiven and forgotten.

Yet you wouldn’t even know it was a Marxist commune from listening to the liberal media, or to some lefty teacher in the classroom. Same for most of the history documentaries on the subject.

John should have said:

“Yes, we’re aware that Barack would like to cloak his DICTATORIAL AMBITIONS, with a rubber stamp Congress, but we’re going to pretend the Constitution still applies to the governing of this country.”

Jones was a San Francisco DemoRat community organizer megalomaniac, running a welfare scam scheme through a fraudulent progressive "church", and was put in power by SF DemoRats and homosexuals including Feinstein, Moscone, and Milk.

Jones was a triumph of progressive politics in San Francisco, and he murdered hundreds after looting them, mostly Black, not just five or so.

And I suspect Milk and Jones’ relationship was more than “professional”, shall we say.
