A brief word on the arrest and strip searching of the female Indian diplomat. First of all, if she broke the law by falsifying visa information for her maid, she can't complain of suffering the consequences. Although I do agree that she was treated in a barbaric manner. It's Obama's America now. BUT -

Every day, millions of people aid, abet, encourage or solicit the presence of millions of illegal aliens in this country. When are these people and illegal aliens going to be arrested and strip searched? Further, illegal aliens commit economic fraud to the amount of untold billions against the United States. And these people are aided, abetted, encouraged or solicited to do by Federal, State, County, and City employees across the nation, and false documentation is ignored. Not too long ago, thousands of illegal aliens were released because of "budget restraints." Many of these people had serious criminal records, and some of them had criminal charges pending. When are these employees and illegal aliens going to be arrested and strip searched?

There have been any number of instances in the past wherein diplomats have committed crimes in America which were "inconsistent" with their diplomatic duties and. They weren't arrested and strip searched, they were expelled.

It is fascinating how demonized someone like Rumsfeld is by the left. I recall my own vitriol towards Reagan and his cohorts when I was younger. I was so misinformed, but I also was participating in a scapegoating impulse to fit in with my tribe. Had I thought differently, I would have been ostracized much like an ancestry tribal outcast.

I was the same way with Reagan. The other night I saw a rerun of a Tonight Show from 1975, with Carson interviewing him. He was so charming, witty, likable, and informative, it had me once again wondering what I was thinking. Or even who I was.
