Yes bit what if you have more than they think you deserve?
Dims are also in the high income brackets.
other than moving to a gulch... yes, pretty much.
I spent about 20 yrs doing 65-100 hr weeks and when i found out 65% of the fed budget went directly to other people as a redistribution of my weekly efforts... I just couldn’t take it any longer and quit.
I was hoping the country would wake up at the last election, unfortunately it seems the looters have just gotten worse.
There are a lot of other areas that could be de-frauded and privatized before we touch SS.
We’ll pay it “for the children”....
if they paid 15% of their labor into a system on the promise it would pay back at some level, then they are owed that money.
the problem is... all the govt employees that get lifetime pensions for a few years work. the number of people in that category across the US is staggering
Liberals not only lie to you, they lie to themselves that they are “good people” for “caring” and “helping others” (with your money).
I like to dispel the “good person” syndrome whenever I get a chance, using the Walter Williams argument -
It would be morally laudable to help out a homeless person with food and medical care out of your own pocket,
but morally reprehensible to steal from a stranger to help out the homeless person.
It is no less reprehensible to VOTE to steal from a stranger to help out the homeless person.
Very few people that I know who are “wealthy” made it working for someone else. They are mostly independent business persons.
I believe much of that is because the govt takes so much of “wage” income.
“We are finished. We are bleeding to death. Nobody cares until something bad happens to them. They never do. They never understand how important it is to live and die buy the words, “I may disagree with what you say, I may hate it but I will defend your right to say it with my life.” This is the same thing.”
Sadly you are correct. Most don’t care until their own lives are impacted.
Whether you are for or against smoking I think you’ll agree that smokers are heavily taxed.
In MA each carton of cigarettes has $48.02 taxes applied. This includes 6.25% sales tax. Yep,they tax the excise tax.
The cost of cigarettes is roughly doubled by this.
.
An easy way to calculate total taxes: What is the federal, State and local tax revenues. That totals about 55% in every locality. 55%. Half our incomes to the government. That is Marxism.
You nailed it.
In an Obama-style socialist state, you ARE a slave.
“There are a lot of other areas that could be de-frauded and privatized before we touch SS.”
That’s a true FR conservative arguing for his piece of the pie - “don’t cut mine, cut thine”
Yeah, sure, since I have about 20 years before I can collect,
I’m “arguing for my piece of the pie”...
So, using your same “logic”, you must
LIKE the fraud that’s in the rest of the programs, right?
“if they paid 15% of their labor into a system on the promise it would pay back at some level, then they are owed that money.”
Not without a vibrant private sector to pay the bill they aren’t. They are gonna get squat because people vote their government checks, even “conservatives”.
“LIKE the fraud thats in the rest of the programs, right?”
Yes, I like fraud. Everyone should get some. Turns out most do.....
do the math on 15% of your income, with a modest 5-10% return, over 45 years ... then take that number and disperse it monthly across 15 years. it should more then exceed your current expectation from social security.
