One suspect is dead after workers at a Churchs Chicken restaurant fought off an attempted robbery Friday night in northwest Harris County, deputies said.
*snip*
The suspects went inside the restaurant demanding money from employees, deputies said. Then two went outside to stand guard, while the third went behind the counter into the kitchen.
While the gunman was distracted, the restaurant manager grabbed a gun he kept hidden and shot the suspect still in the restaurant, deputies said.

Never mess with a Church’s manager. They are gangsta.
Looks like the manager might be lookin’ for a new job. Don’t resist them robbers. They’re only doin’ their job.
I doubt it—this happened in Texas.
“Looks like the manager might be lookin for a new job.”
Just what I was thinking. One can never overestimate the idiocy of top level politicaly correct uber-management.
Are they still taking nominees for the most misleading, leftist propaganda headline of the year?
Geeze!!
I thought on of these happened near Cicero, IL some time ago, but it was at a Brown’s Chicken (almost indistinguishable from Church’s, both dry and flavorless). That one was much worse.
I kind of doubt it. Especially if it’s a franchise, and not a company owned store.
So, technically, there were no fatalities.
Where’s the propaganda?
I would have rotten it, Robbery Suspect Shot as...” unless I wanted peoe to think badly of the church before clarifying

“They had their faces covered and were wearing hoodies,” said Robert Surgeon with Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
I read it as “church” too, as in a place of worship. Since the title did not follow the general rule of capitalizing every word in a title, that changes things. Writing “Church’s”, making it a possessive, proper noun, is capitalized in this instance, making it correct, as the word “church” is not capitalized normally, unless it is the first word in a sentence.
Had all the words in the title been capitalized, which is normally accepted usage, it would have been even more confusing.
No
