We now turn to the mainstream media for their take on how Nelson Mandela’s passing caused O’Toole to lose his will to live.

Very comprehensive piece, thanks for posting it.
I forgot about “Goodbye Mr. Chips” that was a nice movie, but I seem to remember it has a very melancholy ending.

I don’t watch many movies but this movie, which very few people viewed, was a great flick. Funny take on a washed up actor that is to be on a TV show. Only problem is he’s a drunk and a poor young intern must keep him sober for the show. At the time Peter was living this character battling many of the demons he acts out. If you want a laugh and enjoy great acting give it a view.

As incredible a dramatic actor as he was, he had a talent for comedy too. Two incredible roles and movies are "Creator" and "My Favorite Year."

Great movie and someone mentioned The Night of the Generals another great movie. However, Lawrence might be the greatest acting ever.

One of the greats leaves us. We are losing the real men actors and are left with the Alpha Male actors. God bless you Mr.O’Toole.

Lion in Winter was a great movie. One of my favorite movies and a great actor. Murphy’s War was a great movie too. Sad day. RIP.

O'Toole once told Katie Couric that "The Stunt Man" was his best movie. I saw it on opening night in Westwood, and was genuinely stunned.
