I have mixed emotions on this budget. If, IF, IF this deal avoids a shutdown and elects more Reps. and a majority of Senators it may well be the best tact.

We know it doesn't cut the budget, gives away some sequester cuts, moves real cuts to out years which are rarely enacted by future congress's. Is the potential gain worth it ? Are rumors that Boehner will step down related to this inter-party debate?

We know Reid will create trouble and try to create another shutdown (probably via extending unemployment benefits), because Pubbies have shown they will back down, so I'm sceptical. Flame away.

Paul Ryan Takes a Step Toward House Speakership

IIRC, Boehner announced earlier this week that he would be seeking reelection to his House seat.

The budget deal is the the Empire striking back. The GOPe has done nothing but double down on the tip toe to the election strategy since Cruz made them look like impotent buffoons. It is proof that they have no intention of engaging the Dems on anything of substance for the next 3 years. That being the case, how does electing more GOPers help?
