Mayor Bloomberg on Friday defended the new city mandate that kids under five who attend pre-school or daycare get annual flu shots -- a rule critics say is just another nanny-state move by Hizzoner.
Opponents of the compulsory shots -- including autism activists suspicious of vaccination complications -- protested on the steps of City Hall Tuesday, calling the requirement intrusive and absurd.
As for parents who say it's their call as to whether kids should get the flu jab, Bloomberg said, "Your kid can impact other kids by transferring a disease and bringing it home...

If you are a billionaire you don’t need a medical license to practice medicine.
I am glad they made us all get small pox vacinnations.
How about getting your advice from a Doctor, not a liberal moron.
He could bribe them to get the Flu shots .... a banned large surgary drink, some condoms, a pack of cigarettes or the much coveted “on the sly” juvenile abortion.
So the flu and small pox are the same?
Heck the flu vaccine doesn’t even address the right strain most of the time.
I tend to think that Mister Bloomberg's apparent (am I seeing more that what's there?) obsession with controlling people deserves some investigation from mental health professionals.
I'm no expert, but I'd love to know what the shrinks thinks.
.
Hope you foget your sarcasm tag....smallpox is multiple times more dangerous than the flu....
Your kid gets the flu....a few tough days with a sick kid...you kid gets smallpox...you will probably bury them....as well as possibility start an epidemic since vast numbers of illegals never got immunized for it...
hmmmmm...is that the answer?
I think they don’t vaccinate kids or anyone against smallpox anymore.
You are mentally ill, Bloomberg. Get help.
I confirmed it == they don’t vaccinate against smallpox anymore.
From the CDC website:
“Routine smallpox vaccination among the American public stopped in 1972 after the disease was eradicated in the United States. Until recently, the U.S. government provided the vaccine only to a few hundred scientists and medical professionals working with smallpox and similar viruses in a research setting.
After the events of September and October, 2001, however, the U.S. government took further actions to improve its level of preparedness against terrorism. One of many such measuresdesigned specifically to prepare for an intentional release of the smallpox virusincluded updating and releasing a smallpox response plan. In addition, the U.S. government has enough vaccine to vaccinate every person in the United States in the event of a smallpox emergency. “

Answer to what ?
I was going to say something about how happy I’ll be when he’s gone, but then I thought of his replacement.
Every year the extended family, which includes several MD’s, pressures everyone to get flu shots. I’m one of the few who doesn’t get them and am always fine, whereas every year I later also hear variations of, “...but it would have been a much worse flu if I hadn’t gotten that shot”.
The Progressives always start local to test the waters.
Why can't I decide ?
Why can't I decide ?
Bloomberg said, “Your kid can impact other kids by transferring a disease and bringing it home...
Just as you impact us with your idiotic Mayors against guns and support of homosexuals who may impact our children. What should we do about you?
Fixed it.
A new job for the dea, force feedin people drugs under Obamacare
My personal experience was with the additional swine flu shot during the Carter years. A lot of my fellow students in college that got the shot also got that flu, and the rest of us were unscathed.
