The GOP’s 2014 Strategy: Attract Minority Votes, Reinforce Red State Strongholds
The Daily Caller ^ | 13 December 2013 | Katie McHugh

Posted on 12/14/2013 2:06:13 PM PST by zeestephen

The GOP plans to entrench grassroots organizers in Democratic-leaning communities to cultivate support from Blacks and Hispanics. RNC Political Director Chris McNulty touted New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s recent re-election victory as a path forward for other Republicans.

“Minority engagement is the front line in the [fight for the] House of Representatives,” McNulty said. ”We will know we’ve made it when we can elect Susana Martinez and a white Anglo guy anywhere.”

Do these guys actually look at real world election results?

New Mexico Republican Governor Susana Martinez has Mexican ancestry on both sides of her family.

She is a former Democrat, and she is a centrist or center-left on most political issues.

In the 2010 election, 61% of Hispanics voted AGAINST Susana Martinez!

The only reason Martinez won that election is because of shockingly low turnout by non-whites.

Less than two weeks ago, the city of Albuquerque voted on a proposition to ban late term abortions.

Several pro-Life groups specifically targeted Albuquerque because it has a plurality (47%) of allegedly "Conservative" Hispanics.

Remember, this is a proposition against LATE TERM abortions, not abortion in general.

The proposition lost, 55% to 45%!

And these are voters who are going to save the Republican Party?

Mon Dieu!

White conservatives are an endangered species - the Red State strongholds are crumbling.

If the GOP does not become competitive, it wil die. You don’t have to look at the political math to know that demographics are shifting to the Democrats throughout the country.

Why would anyone vote for Republicans? The abandoned fiscal policy, social policy, and foreign policy? What ear would they have an advantage over Democrats?

The GOP is evolving into a European conservative party - committed to the welfare state, amenable to single payer health care and accepting of the new liberal order.

Like the old Progs in Canada, it will probably win elections only when the Democrats get exhausted or have too many scandals. They’ll be a nice placeholder for the “natural governing party.”

That’s the reality. I don’t see any cheerful news for conservatives in America.

RE: “If the GOP does not become competitive, it will die.”

Or, we could fight back.

We currently allow 1 million immigrants to become voting citizens each year.

Since the Reagan Amnesty in 1986, about 20 million new citizens and their children have become Democrats.

80% of them vote for the Democrat Party.

But the GOP makes NO attempt to stop that.

In fact, the GOP seems to think that LEGAL immigration on that scale is somehow “inevitable.”

Wrong - it’s a law, and it can be repealed, just like all laws.

But, we do nothing, except assist in our own political suicide.

By the way, if becoming “competitive” means supporting the same policies that Democrats support, isn’t that the same thing, politically, as “dying?”

Good luck that you’ve lost half your party.

Of course they can’t be serious, must be just finishing off their plan to finish us off.

They don't get it. They JUST don't get it.

There's going to be more navel-gazing from the Stupid Party after 2014.

One thing going for the Republicans is that many Blacks and Hispanics are deeply religious. If they can be shown how much the demonRat party of today despises religion, they may have a chance. Hispanics, especially, are also usually very family orientated. Both typically oppose so-called “alternative lifestyles” such as homosexuality.

Back when the GOP was the party of ideas, it was unstoppable. Now that it’s the party of big government, big business, and illegal aliens, it can’t win.

They’re racist voters who like big government. Detaching them from the Democrats is futile.

so the phony RNC “survey” sent to me this morning was just a gimmick (the questions were so slanted I refused to answer it) with which to pretend a real scientific GOP survey had chosen those things as things the RNC needed to do

I see the battle between the RNC and the grass roots in 2014 becoming apocolyptic, as long as the RNC keeps insisting it already has a “winning strategy” that the grass roots just needs to get out of the way of and go along with.

What is the RNC’s GOP “winning stratgey”? Does it offer real Conservatism and real opposition to the Dims? No. It can be boiled down to a defacto going along with the agendas of the media and the dims, with a “we’re as nice as the Democrats” sales approach.

Your post is pretty much hysterics. This is one of the most conservative houses ever. It passed the least amount of bills. I’m quite happy with Bonier.
Funny when Denny Hastert, Tom Delay and W were spending money like drunks where was all this outrage then? I know I was posting about it but I was only one of a few.

The same one who just came out and said all conservatives were evil? And that Obamacare never should have been opposed. Hastert and Delay were idiots too. Boehner is pretty much a close of Hastert. The only difference is Hastert never went around trying to purge all conservatives from the House.

The Democrat voters are interested in either ideology or payoffs with free stuff.

We now borrow 50% of all money spent on entitlements which is not sustainable.

Soon the Democrats will not have any more money with which to buy votes.

This is why they are desperately trying to institute their long dreamed of police state before the vote buying money runs out so they can coerce people instead of having to pay them off
