Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that the push for gun control is not over, one day before the anniversary of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
At a time when more than 30,000 Americans are killed by guns each year, it is shameful that the United States Senate cant pass gun safety legislation that would protect our most vulnerable citizens our children, Reid said in a floor speech on Friday, citing the activism of the family members in raising awareness about gun violence and mental health issues.

Liberty offends the Left.
Whatchya think about that NOW, NRA?
Dear Hairy: If one trained gun owner had been allowed to be in that school, chances are no one would have been hurt—or at the very least, the carnage could have been stopped before so many children were shot.
Why not make it a law that every school have a trained gunner on duty whenever the school is in session.
IMO, school shootings would quickly become a thing of the past.
Thanks rktman.
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED... AND I WILL GIVE MY LIFE TO DEFEND IT HARRY.
Well of course they did. He, just like MAIGgots, moms demand action, the gabby and mark kelley-giffords travelin’ puppet show and the brady bunch all support your right to keep and bear arms. Just under their terms and to hell with the constitutional guarantee of such. Just a little “commonsense”(their one word version)requirements and restrictions is all their asking for. Nothing nefarious there to concern ourselves with.
Harry. . . it’s ESTABLISHED LAW, why are you trying to change it ???
Dirty Harry is the one that is shameful. Ignoring the Senate rules in order to get the way of the leftards, all the while ignoring “WE THE PEOPLE”. I can only pray to God that 2014 will be a major house cleaning of the RATS AHD the GOP-e RUNOs.
It is shameful that Reid is not a convicted felon serving his sentence.
it is shameful that the United States Senate cant pass gun safety legislation that would protect our most vulnerable citizens
Absolutely.
If we want our kids to be safe, we need to make sure that they are never in a place where there are no armed adults present to protect them.
Unfortunately, what Dingy Harry is proposing would make our children less safe.
hey lighten up Laz
back when they backed him, he backed them. I bet there is a gross of ‘pro gun’ politicians that are being backed by various pro gun organizations that would stop on a dime and change their direction for the right political capital.
Sorry Dingy. What is “shameful” is that the people of Nevada send a commie crook like you to Washington. That’s “shameful”.
We’re the ones serving the sentence. Sentenced to be under the thumb of these clowns interfering with everything from milk to gas to water on you property to our firearms. Stop it!
What is shameful is that an *sshole like Harry Reid commands such power as he does.
The man should be mopping the floors and cleaning the commodes in the toilets of a Vegas Casino, instead of screwing up the Senate.
What is actually "shameful" is that Reid is allowed to discuss and advocate taking something away from you and I that is our BIRTHRIGHT, GUARANTEED by The Constitution!
If we were allowed to sue him for infringing on our rights, like those denied their civil rights, then "gun control advocates" would STFU immediately!
Uh, the vegas unions send him. Rural Nevadans don’t care much for hairy but don’t have the numbers needed to boot him. Like most of the clowns up there. The population centers get them sent up there while the “real” people don’t get much to say.
Every day, over 3000 children are slaughtered by “doctors”.
Why don’t you work on that problem first, Harry?
