The GOP failed to develop its bench for those eight years, leading to two election cycles with two weak candidates on each ticket.

“There really is something ripe for renewal in Republicans’ self-conception as fiscal conservatives, when the clear pattern is that budget deficits grow under Republicans and shrink under Democrats.”
Which brand of hemp is she smoking?

“Megyn Kelly is killing her show in ratings.”
That’s like Liechtenstein clobbering Monaco in a war, ratings-wise.

Megyn babe has more talent in her little pinkie than Hannity has in his whole....
Sadly she is off tonight,

The problem was summed up perfectly by a wise older gentleman I knew here in New Jersey some years ago:
"Republicans see politics as a hobby. For Democrats, it's a career."
The real issue is that anyone with a brain, sound principles, and a shred of self-respect would tend to look upon a career in politics the same way they'd see a career as a child molester.

Was this written in 1979?
Maddow, you are a worthless liberal that will soon taste the excrement being fed you by democrats in charge. It is hard to figure out why you celebrate the destruction of a Country that has served you so well.

***I agree. At the time I was posting that Cheney should step down in year 7 “due to ill health & heart problems” so that an heir apparent could be lifted up. In particular I thought the heir apparent should be Duncan Hunter. But the Bush family obviously thinks of Jeb as the heir apparent. Sickening.
