Florida prosecutors say they will not file domestic violence charges against George Zimmerman after he was arrested in an incident with his girlfriend last month.
Zimmerman, who was acquitted earlier this year in the highly-publicized murder trial of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, had faced charges of aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief following the Nov. 18 incident at the central Florida house he shared with Samantha Scheibe.
Schiebe told authorities Zimmerman had threatened her with a gun, but in a sworn affidavit last week recanted her claims, and asked for the charges to be dropped.

Of what you stated, that is.
No way. Liberals don’t do dirty tricks. They’re the good guys. If they do something, it’s for a good reason, and that’s all that matters.
2) Any woman with whom you become involved must undergo a complete background check and psych evaluation.
3)If there's even an ounce of truth to any of the accusations that have been made against you since your verdict get help.Take every anger management course you can find.
4)Work diligently to get that huge cash judgment from NBC News (and others) to which you're fully entitled.
George needs to move to Wyoming and work on a ranch.
Plus he needs a stunt double or two!
Alaska is fairly remote.
Woohoo, good news!!
Smelled like a set up from the very beginning to me.
Thank you for the ping!
She deserves whatever happens to her.
If her statements were coerced, or grossly misunderstood, as she says, then the investigators should be charged with false arrest.
The charges were always “alleged”, not a shred of proof was ever produced.
And yes, George is being persecuted by the local police for his “nonconformity”. George Zimmerman does not fit into any convenient slot, so he is automatically presumed guilty, therefore any protestations of innocence or facts to the contrary are rigorously and firmly ignored.
Has anybody noticed that the local police forces are becoming more and more like a domestic army, much more quick to shoot first and ask questions only long after the fact? There is a growing militarization of the police corps at all levels, up to and including local “terror squads” that imprison people in their homes, and denying any participation by citizens in bringing a fleeing criminal to a stop. This includes such anti-libertarian attitudes as disarming legal owners, arresting the VICTIM who fights back against the perpetrator, and seemingly taking the side of the criminal in assaults.
Number one example was the rundown of the woman who was shot by the Capitol police in DC only recently. There are plenty more instances, but it seems that the police have declared a state of martial law almost unilaterally, if not everywhere, enough so that distrust of the uniform becomes a much greater issue than ever.
Gold digging publicity whores need banging too...
Reckon George has learned anything about associations, etc.?
Maybe not guilty, but she sure does need a good spankin ;)
I just hope George wears sufficient protection.
That said, this is Florida, and Corey went to trial with insufficient evidence, in order to make a political statement and appease the restive blacks.
Agree with your point that it is cheaper to buy a new gun than to argue against the miscreants who operate the legal system.
Thanks for the ping — hopefully George has learned something from this.
Well yeah, but Corey had the testimony of her star witness to rely on.
"Zimmerman he be a creepy ass cracker."
If you believe what Z's girlfriend says now, and if you believe what Z's soon-to-be ex-wife says now, and if you believe what the jury decided, then it would be unnecessary and prejudicial for Z to take an anger management course. The media would like nothing better as an admission of the guilt which has so far been unproven multiple times.
Please note that I said *if* there's any truth to any of the accusations.I haven't the first clue if there is or not but my gut tells me that there *might* be.
