ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE (AP) - A joint wave from the Air Force One, a shared dinner, and a long flight home. President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush shared quality time Tuesday as they returned from Nelson Mandela's memorial service in South Africa.
Reconciliation was in the air.
Bush and his wife, former first lady Laura Bush, had round-trip passage with Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for the service, an international "who's who" of current and former international political leaders.

You’re for gay marriage?
Or are you for Jeb? (same thing)
Bush’s Fault, after all. Thank God there are True Conservatives here to remind us.
I'll tell you once again, he had good points but gave us the Patriot Act and the TSA.
Stop being a jerk.
We all held our noses and voted for him twice, but we knew in the back of our minds where he would ultimately take us.
(It's not my intention to suck you into the hissy fit, but my position is that Bush is not equal to Obama, so calling him a Republican is immaterial).
Don’t forget Ken Mehlman.
Unfortunately GWB left Obama some tools that he shouldn't have had.
Absolutely. Everything you said is true.

My guess at this point is that McCain would have abused them too, just more slyly.
You two are characters for sure.
He probably would have.
Why didn’t Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter ride on Air Force One?
Good grief I would have walked instead! Can you imagine Carter, Clinton and Obama together? ARGH!
The best Presidents know that even a bad President can’t destroy the Office.
In other words, I believe George and Laura’s love for country is deeper than any personal grievance, disrespect, or disdain.
And after all, the Government keeps getting bigger and bigger no matter who’s in office. What’s not to love? Pass the caviar.
Its time to wake up Mr. Flibs.
There is no time left for emotional attachments to dreams. We are power-sledding down the steep slope to oblivion.
Two branches of the same crime family.
I think GW is doing the Christian thing by turning the other cheek. I don’t recognize zero as my president, but there have only been a select few who have held that position, so it is an exclusive club - so to speak. I know it would be hard to forgive the zero, but I suspect that the Bushes have more class in their little fingers than the obamas have in all of their fingers and toes combined.
This isn’t to say that i agreed with everything GW did, but at least I knew he loved this country, and our enemies were afraid of him. Imagine that - afraid of that dumb cowboy!
Bush ‘kept you safe’
BAWAHAHA
>> “Bush kept you safe “ <<
.
Yep, safely entangled in benevolent tyranny.
