Any deal that doesn’t repeal Obamacare, and start the phasing-out of SS, Medicare, and Medicaid, is no deal at all.

This increases real spending.

Sequestation in the Budget Control Act of 2011 decreased real spending.(Not cuts in spending growth.)

Who’s the silliest, WA or WI for sending those two to Congress?

And Ryan thought his debate was tough.
The phones in DC are going to melt tomorrow and the calls are not going to be nice.

Yet this deal raises spending above where it was going to be in 2014 and 2015. Did the spending increase come solely from the airline passenger "fee" increases? I'm fine with making federal workers pay more into their pensions, but immediately putting that money into other spending instead of deficit reduction is pure D.C. insanity that only Commies and their RINO collaborators could love.

Senior aides familiar with the talks have said the emerging agreement aims to raise agency spending to roughly $1.015 trillion in fiscal 2014 and 2015. That would bring agency budgets up to the target already in place for fiscal 2016.

This is just more of the loser tip toe to the election strategy from the beltway GOP. They did the same thing giving the kenyan a massive increase in the DL before the election. How did that work out again?

The stupid party never learns.

Why would the Dems agree to a deal favorable to the GOP right now? BOHICA.

I think it's a 35B difference...not much when you're talking about 1.2T.

However, some of the items in the bill set the stage for more reform in the future i.e. Federal employees having to contribute more to pensions...that might be worth the 35B difference right there.

“...In the future...”

That’s funny, you should write comedy. All that matters in these deals is the current spending. The Dems wanted to bust the sequester and the GOP donors wanted pork. Business as usual. Beltway GOP gives away the store and main street is SOL. Reid will nuke them again. They deserve it.

Well, at some point some kind of attrition has to happen if this ship is to get turned.

I'd like to think it's the beginning...who knows one of these days I may be right.

This is the best analysis of the deal I’ve read so far:

Bottom line - it sucks rotten eggs and the RINOs are selling us out again.
