I figured the police mistook Tito for a pitbull. Honest mistake. :P

Cops are powerful, and, being people, some of them are insane.

In before the inevitable lecture about how we must all treat the coppers like they are the almighty god. This boot tastes like chicken today. I wonder why.

It was a killer parakeet. The officers testified, “We were in fear for our lives.”

You forgot rabbits, gerbils, and ferrets in the “stomp” category, I believe.

The officers then stepped on the bird intentionally, killing it, court documents say.
Criminal animal?

It was a killer parakeet. The officers testified, We were in fear for our lives. The cops had no other choice. The parakeet was advancing on them in a threatening manner.

"according to court documents"
"court documents say"
In other words, the plaintiffs looking for money say this.
The defendants have also filed court documents as well, I'm sure.
Court documents which probably tell a different story than the plaintiffs' court documents.
Court documents which "DNAInfo" decided not to look into.

You forgot rabbits, gerbils, and ferrets in the stomp category, I believe Any actual stories about them being stomped? The kitten was from a BATF raid I heard about years ago where the agent went out of her way to stomp on the family's pet.

I’m sure there’s something out there, and if not, that doesn’t preclude them from being targets.
Our law enforcement agencies have become full-time military outfits without the honor or order associated with national enlistment.

Right about that one. Can’t even begin to tell you about the crazy career I had in law enforcement. Nobody would believe me anyhow.
