Health Care Exchange Is Vastly Improved, Users Say
New York Times ^ | 12/10/2013 | By LIZETTE ALVAREZ and JENNIFER PRESTON

MIAMI — After two months of false starts, error messages and pleas for patience from the once-hobbled federal online health care exchange, Karen Egozi, the chief executive of the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida, watched on Monday as counselors navigated the website’s pages with relative ease.

Click. Next page. Click. Next page. The website, HealthCare.gov, was working so well that Ms. Egozi, who oversees the 45 navigators in eight locations who help consumers enroll in health plans, said her team gave the system an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10, meaning that most people got as far as selecting a plan or taking home information to select a plan. It felt like a champagne moment.

“I’m 80 percent satisfied,” Ms. Egozi said. “I think it will be great when it’s 100 percent.”

Just wait until the bills start to arrive. Let’s hear about how great it is then.

But it still does nothing but gather your information in a database.

But no one is signing up because the Free Obamacare Monthly Check option isn’t on the website yet.

The site is working better, so pay no attention to the socialist, unconstitutional, freedom-killing mess that is the underlying law.

Wheee, so they sort of fixed the login page. How’s that payment system doing? What about the datashare links to send your info to the actual insurance companies? Oh, they haven’t even STARTED those? Then don’t come in here blowing smoke up my ass about how the website’s “working”. Friggin NYT; buncha asskissers.

You have missed the point:

Obama say: “Here my Insurance Tax! NOW GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!”

People say: “What do we get in EXCHANGE?”

Obama say: “You fools ARE the Exchange. You give me YOUR money, and I take away your freedom of choice.”

People say “OSHIT!”

Obama say: “Next year my Insurance Tax will will require a LARGER investment from you to me.”

People say: “Now we know why “Healthcare Exchange Marketplace” is really OSHIT, short for Obama’s Socialized Health Insurance Tax.”

People say: “BTW, are we being sold, like the slave auctions of old, on Obama’s Exchange Marketplace?”

Obama say: “Always vote to support my best friends, the RINOs.”

Dear LIZETTE ALVAREZ and JENNIFER PRESTON,

So how’s the website security coming along? You mean that part still hasn’t been coded into the site?

Then how could the site be ANY better than it was before? Without security they ain’t got nuttin’. All they’ve done in the past two months is to make it possible for MORE people to open themselves up for fraud and identity theft.

Is that would you mean by saying the site is 80% better? Hmmm?

Sure... the website probably works great now...

However... about the law itself.. those pesky deductibles and premiums.. therein lies the problem.

While the NYT is flacking for the administration, they overlook the fact that the 2 people signing up in the news article are free pony people, heavily subsidized premiums and possibly pre existing conditions.MSNBC is also featuring an article about an overjoyed 61 year old enrollee who was able to sign up after two months of trying and whose premiums for her and her unemployed husband will be 3 bucks a month. The fouled up website they are trying to play down is small potatoes next to the real problem that the early enrollees are primarily folks getting subsidies and pre existing condition folks. Where are the stories about overjoyed healthy non subsidized people enrolling who will be paying the bill for these overjoyed free pony folks?

Imagine a broken down car with four bald tires, a slipping transmission, bad brakes, a loud knock in the engine and a dead battery. Jump starting the battery could similarly be regarded as a vast improvement.

They launched the site with at least 400 defects (identified after the launch).

That’s like saying the ‘76 Ford Granada that’s been rusting away in some junkyard, that after hundreds of hours of painstaking work, is able to start and drive 500 yards before blowing a rod, has been “vastly improved”.

Yes, just don't turn the engine off; you won't be able to get it started again.

The website problems are just the thin layer of snow on the top of the iceberg.

Then there's the tip of the iceberg.

Then there's the rest of the iceberg. The big problem with Obamacare is arithmetic, not a website.
