As I always understood it, you “shoot” an arrow, since there is no fire involved. A bow is not a firearm.

And let’s not forget Jarts—never knowing who’d be impaled was a blast!!

Must be the black paint that makes them so much more deadly and have the abality to shoot innocent people on their own.

I hate to think what they wouldve done to me for what I did as a kid. My parents would probably be jailed today for child neglect/abuse.
When I was ten or eleven, my parents took me to Disneyland. At one point they gave me some money and let me amuse myself while they went on a ride that I did not want to go on. I walked into a shop that had all sorts of things for sale, including, and I swear this is true, real military surplus-type bayonet knives. Of course I had to have one. The shopkeeper sold it to me with no questions asked. My mother was appalled, and my father was skeptical, but they let me keep the bayonet. My prize possession.

And sometimes we even played.... dodge ball. It was all incredibly violent, and luckily no one was traumatized. My athletic career peaked in fifth grade summer school, when I was the last one standing in a hotly contested game of dodge ball, which we called soakum. My cheering teammates lifted me up and carried me off the field on their shoulders. Victory was sweet.

I hate to think what they wouldve done to me for what I did as a kid. We would buy and sell packs of firecrackers, cherry bombs and M-80s. Nowadays that's prison time for kids!

I imagine it could be pretty bad. Fortunately, family is still a big influence when the parents take the time to interact with their kids instead of just parking them in front of the TV.

Today the administrators would try to riddle you with guilt, and then put you on Ritalin. A problem child with a competitiveness disorder.

A problem child with a competitiveness disorder. And a Y chromosome, now recognized as a genetic defect.
