I’ve always been taught that the pen is mightier than the sword!

They had to make sure there were no weapons hidden inside the rifles.

Is the pen mightier than a sock monkey pistol?

‘If I held it up to your neck, you wouldn’t know if it was real or not,’

On behalf of the TSA agent, she was doing what she was trained to do; I just work here. So higher-ups need to address any problems that the public has with this policy imo.

On the other hand...

If I, or anybody else, held something small like that toy gun to my neck, then I'd probably need a mirror to actually know what it was. So there are a number of things, pens, cigarette lighters, finger, etc., that you could hold up to someone's neck to threaten them with.

Also, will somebody please reference where in the TSA airport advisory guide that it warns about carry-on things that someone might think is a gun if you hold it up to their neck?

On one trip to Australia I had a .22LR unfired cartridge in my jacket. Neither the US or Aussie customs found it. I didn’t know I had it until I was putting away stuff when I got to Australia.

“Fly or drive. Hmmmm let’s see.”

Sounds like a no-brainer to me. You know, if all the frequent flyers who have been hassled by the mutants, perverts and 300+ lb. Holder girls who “work” for the TSA were all to boycott flying for one single day, they could bring the airlines to their knees and put a stop to this crap.

Not me!-—LOL!

I will never board another plane unless something goes wrong with my daughter and her family who are presently living in Calgary.

They are hoping to be transferred out of there before long.

Yeah, well, I’m doing my best to do my part and setting the example is the only reason to post.

My BIL does the same thing on a different journey he makes about once a month.

For me it would be Seattle to Portland. It’s a four hour drive. It’s actually faster to drive it.

Once again I am reminded why I have not missed flying over the past 15 years.

I haven’t been on an airplane since our honeymoon in 1978. My plans are to continue this practice as long as possible.

Was the sock monkey placed on the 'no-fly' list?

TSA Agents! I pity the fools!

PS... but not near as pretty. In fact, downright dull. Living in a Red state has its price.

Since 2006, for a family funeral waaaayyy down in Fort Myers. (Drive that, and your tailbone will be permanently implanted in your skullbone.)

I think the skeptics are right, TSA is a "normalization" operation, tasked with "training" the proles to the "new reality": Us big, you little.

The TSA agent made them run their rifles through the Xray machine!

Nutz!
