I wish that I lived in a land where people could have beliefs and follow them as long as they did not harm the freedom of others. Like the freedom to deny service, because you conclude it is for an immoral purpose. Also, the others had the freedom to use another business and give them their money. Or to start/fiance a business to cater to their neglected needs. I wish someone would tell me if such a country exists and where it is. I might want to start living there some day and give them my tax money and hard work...

Is this really what it is coming down to? People: Do what we want! You: No. Government: Do it or suffer.
I don’t think it would be very Christian to sabotage the cake, but I don’t think it would be Christian to help others celebrate defiance to Jesus. Is there truly no other moral options than: pay the fine or move to another land?

I think this is a baker who no longer offers wedding cakes, doesn’t bake them, doesn’t know how to decorate them. How about some twinkies for you twinkies?

Oh, they’re having a wedding? Who is the bride, and who is the groom - the basic requirements for a wedding, by definition?

Another judge who went to law school, but doesn’t even understand the concept of language - yet was awarded a degree and was admitted to the bar.

When stuff like that happens, it gives you little choice but to sell the business or just close it up and move.

I am surprised they have not done so already...

I miss the days when slavery was banned in America. Being compelled to work against your will and in violation of your religious beliefs is shockingly un-American, and I am disgusted with anyone who facilitates that evil agenda. Those filing the lawsuit, representing the bullies, and ruling in favor of slavery should be shunned, along with their families.

I’d still go with (1) quote an insanely high price and let the perverts decide on their own initiative to go elsewhere, or (2) write a contract that specifies no penalty for non-performance and then cancel at the last minute for unspecified reasons. Don’t refuse and give the thugs a lever, just end up not doing it at the last minute. In any state that compels slavery, we have no obligation to deal with thugs politely or professionally.

Hire a 300# stone cold headbreaker to dress in nice clothes and hang out in my bakery all day, pretending to be a customer. When the gay couple tries to force me to bake a penis cake, he does what comes naturally, I give him severance in cash and he replaces himself with one of his buddies.

Who was the attacker? No idea...I think the gentleman gave his name as Millstone...Mr. Millstone. He was purple and had three legs, hope you catch him ;)

The whole story sounds like a setup to bring suit. There’s an extensive GLBT network and they all do business with each other. Surely within those networks there is a baker who would just love to have baked this couple’s ‘wedding cake.’
