Keep in mind we can flub it completely. These kids are mad at Obama why? Is it because they’re suddenly converts to liberty and a government within its Constitutional limits or is it because the Democrats didn’t do a good job of getting them their free stuff?

The Millenials are the most brainwashed generation ever. Keep in mind that they were being taught by a generation that was taught by socialists. There isn’t any outside info. They’re hypersexualized and very amoral.

I think the way to hook these kids is economic first, moral second. We need to take the Senate and strengthen in the House and still Obama will be President. Once we have our President in office the economy needs to take off and get these kids jobs. You don’t ignore the social aspects, you stay on them for instance pointedly making clear that poverty is absolutely caused by bad moral decisions young in life. We’ve largely won on abortion and gun control and you stay on that, too. The Millenials are not going to see eye-to-eye with us on Same Sex Marriage and immigration is threading a needle with them.

If we give the Dems something to hang their hats on the media will bail them out and forget all the lies, etc. We need to push the economy, get it going again, and then the voters will listen.

This is why it will be very important to NOT pass any immigration stuff while the big Zero is still in office.

The mere idea that the Rs are even considering this makes me crazy. Do they really think the low info hispanic (or any) voter will give THEM credit, rather than the President? If so they are so stupid that they make the low info voters look like King Solomon.

I was a young twenty-something Democrat voter during the Carter era. By the time he left office, I was thoroughly disabused with him and his party. I did alright myself during his term, but everyone around me was barely treading water, financially. Many of my friends couldn't find decent paying jobs to save their lives.

Enter Reagan in 1980. Within a few short years, he'd made a believer out of me. Nearly everyone I knew was doing head and shoulders better than they'd done under Carter. I wasn't yet ready to switch to his party, but I trusted the man, and was happy to see him win a second term.

I won't bore you with the rest of my time track, but suffice it to say that I never again gave my unquestioning support to the Dems. In time, I began voting for people who (at least) swore to uphold the principles and policies that I'd seen to be workable in real life.

Let us hope that many millenials today are following the same track I did. We going to need them within a few very short years.
